I'm planning a cam swap and recently got a barrier. Need some knowledge please. Camshaft gear bolt out, three bolts on " cam retainer" out. Distributor out. Do I let up on the distributor gear and rock the cam? Does inviting oil pump involved? I didn't figure I should pry forward on the cam...

I've heard\read different opinions on this. On a 360 magnum roller cam do I want a billet steel or ductile iron. What brand \ material distributor gear goes with each type. After talking with three different cam manufacturers they don't agree so this for the pros that know here. Thanks
