    Waldron's for exhaust system, stock '64 273 2 BBL?

I have a '64 Valiant, 3 speed manual (column), V100 that needs a complete exhaust system, Y-pipe, and all the way back, including a muffler. Has anyone used the set that Waldron's sells? Any other recommendation for a single-pipe, stock setup? (273 V8). If I get parts separately, what is a...

    Fabric/Vinyl PAINT/DYE for seat/headliner recommendations

I have a 1964 Valiant with a light turquoise exterior and tan interior- an odd combination. I'm looking for a blue/turquoise color scheme for the interior... I'll need to treat the door panels, dashboard, sun visors, (cloth, suspended) headliner, and cloth/vinyl seats. There is no carpet so...

FYI: Narrow A body DOOR interchange

I tried putting a '63 Valiant front door on a '64 Valiant and found that the door striker is different, and the sheet metal cutout for the door striker on the '64 is larger- looks as if I'll have to modify the '63 door just a little to make it work.

63-66 Valiants- ANY models ever made?

Besides the old AMT promos, has any diecast, resin, or other model ever been, in any scale, made of a narrow body Valiant? It seems every other car has all kinds of models made, my myriad companies over the years, but the second generation Valiants (I'd prefer a '65 but any '63 to '66 would be...

    1960 Valiant review article-Sports illustrated

In the Nov 2, 1959 issue, there is a double page article on the new Valiant! I've scanned it for all interested... as I have a copy of the issue, and have not seen it online anywhere. It was nice of SI to run the article, maybe gutsy too, as a stunning number of Chrysler's small car...

'65 Valiant. Will 15x7 wheels, 205/60/15 tires fit?

Seeing the limited options and high prices I will encounter putting new P185/80/13 tires on the tiny, stock 13" wheels, I'm now thinking of getting the repro Rallye wheels in the 5 in.x 7 in., 5 x 4 in. Bolt Circle, 4.25 in. backspace size. 1) Would a 195/70/15 tire be nice for this, or would...

Stock replacement tires for 13" rims

There seem to be few 13 inch replacement tire options for early Valiants and Darts. I think that the size I need is P186 80R13; I see that Maxxis has one (the MA-1, $100 each). I also see this one from Lucas Tire for $59...

Has anyone completely dismantled an early A-Body for parts? Pics?

I have a worn '65 Valiant 4-dr that I want to part out to feed two other '65 Valiants and a '64. I'd like to cut out the trunk and the rear panels and I need a door, the hood, the bumpers, engine head, etc. and would like to completely cut the car apart and cart away the pieces that I don't...

"Survivior" 1964 Valiant with Sl6 in Hemmings 03/12

I posted this at Slantsix.org, but will post it here too in case someone misses it. Hemmings Classic Car, March 2012 issue. Except for a few factual errors and typos (the low miles V100 4 door featured "could use the more powerful 225 V-8") and plenty of omissions, it is a nice 6 page writeup...

    New member with Valiants

Hi, I'm Paul and the A body cars are a sentimental favorite of mine. My uncle bought a '65 and '72 (2 door Swinger HT) Dart when they were new, and my Dad bought a new '74 Dart (4 dr 3 sp. manual 198/6) that was my first car out of HS in '84. I sold it in '91 and bought a new Dodge Colt. My...
