    Soft pedal after conversion.

What about a pedal ratio issue? The car originally came with manual 9 “ drums.

    Soft pedal after conversion.

That’s the master that I have from RPUI. 15/16 bore. Correct on the connections. The only line that’s 1/4 is connected to the new master large reservoir feeding the oe junction block for the front calipers. All other lines are 3/16 to the calipers. The 1/4 line was originally connected to...

    Soft pedal after conversion.

I've got a similar low pedal problem on a 66 Dart. Right stuff disc conversion/ adjustable prop/ 15/16 master/ arms/spindles/etc. Manual brakes. 11x2 1/2" drums on the rear. Pushrod lengths were identical comparing the old single master to the new dual master. Bench bled master/ then vacuum...

Rear Axle Shafts Won't Seat After Bearing Replacement

When I was 16, I didn't grease the driver side bearing after replacing the seal and screwed up the housing end. I made a dumb mistake. Thought the bearing would get lubed by the diff oil even though I was fully aware of the seal placement. My 8 3/4 I'm building has green bearings. So sealed.

Rear Axle Shafts Won't Seat After Bearing Replacement

Be sure to grease the bearings before installing. Unless your using a sealed bearing.

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

I did get the housing narrowed, assembled it on stands and then took it apart until I'm ready to install. Then I can take measurements for the rear wheels.

    318 cam

But can you read my mind? But seriously this info on a 318LA or a 360 LA is giving me a path to a cheap V8 for my 66 Dart. I don't need more than 250-300hp to pull this light car. Right now the 225 does pretty good. Man i'm in a good mood. Started a new shift on my job. Get off at 1:30 in the...

[WANTED] A body 8.75 housing wanted.

That's pretty crummy that you were sold the wrong part. They should have known. I know you said you were looking for the housing but , maybe you can find somebody who can narrow your housing. That's what I'm doing right now.

8 3/4" rear axle, different vent positions?

Yea, my housing has that hole on the opposite end. I think leaving the vent on the right side is the best way. Tack a 3/8 bolt facing up on the left side and then put the hose block on the bolt with a lock nylock. Or I could rig the brake lines, mount the brake hose to the right side, etc Seems...

8 3/4" rear axle, different vent positions?

The housing I have came from a 72 B200. Definitely on the passenger side.

8 3/4" rear axle, different vent positions?

I too have a 8 3/4 with the vent bolt on the pass side. My 7 1/4 is on the driver side. My salvage 8 3/4 has the vent with the metal piece from the original hose(hose is gone) I suppose the vent could stay where it is, weld a 3/8 or 1/2 bolt on the driver side. Install the hose over the...

Four blade, versus seven blade fan in my 225 Duster? Final report now in.

Thanks for doing the legwork. Great looking car.

    Sagging on one side?

I agree with toomanmike on the 60 year old springs. Mine look original and the driver side sags just a bit. But when I launch the car the left side jumps up. So i'm good with it.

    Sagging on one side?

For the squeak, I would lie on the ground and pull the bumper down or push up until you can reproduce the sound. Look and listen for the sound. I would suggest lubing all joints/rods. Probably will need another person to help diag the noise if the grease job doesn't solve it. For the sag...

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

Great info. The older gentleman who is doing the work says he’s done hundreds over the years. The axles ordered with the doctor is for a stock 52 5/8 housing The axles will be LBP. Not sure how much further they stick out or in verses my current 7 1/4. I’ll learn more along the way.

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

I probably will have to put disc on the front. Currently have the 9 inch drum. Not sure how the brakes will do. Most likely they will continue to stop fine if not better with the larger rear shoes.

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

Looks like I chose the 52 5/8 stock housing width. I will have to buy wheels due to the 5 on 4.5 pattern. But before, I need to determine what wheel will fit. BTW, if anyone on this forum has a 66 Dart using a stock 52 5/8 housing with Dr. Diff axles, what size rim did you install?

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

I have a question about Dr. Diff axles. I just ordered a set for stock A body housing length. I chose the BBP so am I to assume that I should have my housing narrowed to 51.5? Nevermind, I just realized that is for 7.25 and 8.25. The 8.25 through me off. I need my housing narrowed to 52 5/8...
