TO: 6PAC-TO-GO: We just ordered the complete 6-pac set-up and trimed the bottom flared-flange off the air filter base to keep it from covering up half the motor!! TO: BEATNIK: We love these valve covers too, oddly enough, we found them on e-bay. Whoever we bought them from would engrave...

    72 Built Duster

No, it is not Butterscotch.... Butterscotch is a Dodge color. This is Bahama Yellow. There was not "just a number bluttered out" You would have to see the car in person to understand that $40 is a good starting point.

    1972 Duster ABS Headliner question

Well, the mystery of the non-fitting headliner has been solved!!! According to Year One, we ordered the wrong headliner. They said that the headliner we ordered was for a 73-76 Duster- we intended to order for a 72-76. However, the 75 parts car we have has the exact same measurements as the 71...

    1972 Duster ABS Headliner question

New headliner is not too long, just too wide and the biggest problem is that the pre-cut "holes" for the sun-visors and dome light do not match up with the measurements of the car. Sadly, we did not keep the old headliner. This head-liner was shipped rolled-up, not flat.

    1972 Duster ABS Headliner question

Well, Sunday has come and gone and we are no closer to getting the ABS Plastic, cloth covered, headliner to fit into the 72 Duster than we were last week! We have done every measurement we can possibly do - - we measured the distance between sun-visor bolts in our 71 Duster and the 72 Duster...

    1972 Duster ABS Headliner question

Spoke to Year One this morning. We were right in the fact that the ABS Plastic (cloth cover) headliner does come pre-trimmed. All we can figure now is that we need a little more muscle power to get it fitted in there. Will be posting results of project along with any tips for doing this as soon...

    1972 Duster ABS Headliner question

We ordered the headliner from Year One. When we ordered it, we were under the impression that it was already trimmed. In fact, it looks to be already trimmed, turned back, glued..... It does have the cut-outs for the dome light and also the sun visors. However, the sun visor holes do not seem to...

    Hood

:dontknow: Just my opinion, of course, but I guess that is what you were asking for - Since you will probably re-paint the hood anyway - I still think you would be happier with the Organasol Paint from Year One. When we first purchased our 1971 Duster, whoever painted it had used the Flat Black...

    Hood

The best thing you can do is repaint the hood. You need to use Organasol Paint from Year One. It is the original paint that came on the 1971 Duster. It has a slight texture to it that keeps it looking great! The paint is a little pricey but well worth it!!!
