Well after 18 months we finally got the motor started, a few minor issues to address and we should be good to do some check out passes. :glasses7:

A little more info. We found the above to be true also but playing with the pressures to find the sweet spot helped. We found that Mickeys liked 12 to 13 psi, Hoosiers liked 13 to 14, Phoenix, again 13 -14 and Toyo's 14 -15. These were all designated 29.5 x 10.5 x 15. Tyre pressures were taken...
Didn't take it as Caltrac bashing, was hoping that my experience might help a little. I understand your frustration. Like most stuff they need to be adjusted to work on Mopars and when you change the drivetrain combo you need to adjust the chassis too. Forgot to add a slo-mo video cam becomes a...
Hi All.
We've ran Caltracs for 13 years and with 3 different engine combo's (soon to be 4) we've been through a lot of what everyones mentioning.
OK from the beginning, we expected to run quicker with them straight away but didn't over the old superstock springs and snubber system. The car was...
Hi.
We use a 572 RB motor in the Chally. KB block, Indy heads, Less than .750 lift, pump gas, 6700 rpm shift, 4:10 rear with 30 inch tyres. Runs 9.5's @ 140+, 3850lb race weight. Super reliable and consistent.
A little update, I can now verify that the mileage isn't accurate, it must have gone round the clock twice going off the bore wear. The G'box was well past it's best too but thats been modded with a shift kit and a rebuild plus a 10inch 2200 stall 'verter.
The motor is getting warmed over using...
Thanks all for the complements. So far we've ordered a formula S stripe kit in dark metallic blue ('69 though), some Torque thrust 2's in SBP (custom) and some new bumpers.
We have a line on headers from Australia (RHD A body Valiants and Chargers), hopefully they'll work. I also know where the...
Hey Tig,
You guys across the pond sure are finding some good Mopars.
I've seen an explosion of Mopars from you guys lately and most have been built really well.
Is there a big interest lately for American muscle cars over there or just "real" American muscle cars?

No...
Thanks for the warm welcome guy's and gals, there is also a '70 Dart that has very recently come up for sale that is in our price range. It's a real clean stocker with a 318. The Duster has a warmed over 360 in it thats ran a best of 13.2 but we will wait until the new year to decide. Something...
Hi Guy's and Gals.
I'm from England and we're looking at buying an A body for my wife (Cath) to race at the local track.
Ideally she would like a Barracuda then a Dart, Duster or Demon. We have our eye's on a '72 360 duster and I'm just saying hello 'cause I may be spending some time here if we...
