    Valve springs help

If you are really worried about it take one of the springs off and measure the pressure at the closed height and the open height. And post the results or PM me. another good check would be to remove the lifters (one at a time so they go back in the same location) and verify that they are not...

    Torn between 360 or 408 .. Advice??

The pistons listed with the 360 kit do not offer much compression in a standard rebuild with 70 cc heads and .050 head gasket. If you decide to go with a 360, I would get KB107's.

    max cam lift???

KB pistons have generous valve releifs so I dont think you would have problem with even some of the cams with well over .600 lift Piston to valve clearance is also effected by duration duration and lobe separation, not just the aggressiveness or lift of the cam. 1) the wider the lobe sep...

    360 intake manifolds

I like the performer RPM. A small single plane like the M1 may be a good choice as well with those gears.

Port my Eddy's or Stroke to 408?

If you want power, port the heads. A cam to use use the new flow would make even more power.

    LD4B intake on a 1969 340CID

I never tested an LD4B but I did test an LD340 on a mildly built 340 in a street/strip duster with a 2600 stall converter. What I found was a very small increase in peak power but a significant loss in low speed torque. Cold idle quality was terrible compared to the stock intake. My quarter mile...

It was purchased new about a half hour from where I live and the owner used it for about six months and then decided to do some mild racing and never really put it back on the road...

    Roller Rockers Geometry

The Hughes rockers are made by probe. I tried a set of 1.6 about a year ago. The ratio measured in at 1.48. I sent them back. I was trying to increase the ratio from the Comps, identicle to the set purchased from scamp_408, which meaured slightly over 1.5.
