I actually swapped distributors used for used but no real noticable change. It has new plugs and used wires that are copper and I ohmed them out cap is new but I could swap with another one just to see. Thanks.

I have a hand choke so I might try pulling that on a bit at cruising speed and see if it smooths out by riching up the mixture. Thanks.

I figured it out. I drilled a small hole in the plug and started a sheet metal screw in it. Drove the plug in(I tried pulling and every time it broke the little wings off) the screw keeps the plug from getting away, just work side to side and everyone I did this way came out. I actually have one set from a 66 and they are a different patern, swing69 checked his with a 65 he has and sure enough they were different bolt pattern and also a different bend. The 64 and 65 are the same though. Got a set?

I did this swap to a '65 Barracuda with no problems. I used brake hoses from '74 duster with the calipers up front.

What is a good plug to use on a 318 with standard compression 270 magnum solid com cam older single plane edelbrock with 4 speed in 65 barracuda? I was planing on using Champion 14's. Is that to hot?

Use plenty of water when your done to neutralize the stripper, also if you use stripper make sure it says ok for aluminum.
