    340 stalls out when @ 200 degrees

    fuel may be boiling in the bowls. You may have to block the heat risers from the heads to the intake manifold. Mine did a similar thing till I plugged those. Good luck.

    I'm not trying to justify doing this swap, it will just be cool as hell. I already have a Dart Sport with a 360. It runs 12.70's all day, and I could drive it to the track. Sometimes in the midlife a fellow just needs a good challenge. As for the piston design, they are all slight dome pistons.

    What does the exhaust smell like? Coolant when it burns has a very sweet very different smell. Oil smoke has its own, easy to identify. You have condensation in the system. It is a byproduct of the combustion. Your exhaust system is not evaporating it, so it comes out the tailpipe. Leave it alone.

    5.7 Hemi "issues"?

    no problems with the 5.7 hemi to date at our dealership either. It is a tough motor. condensation on the cap and top of the dipstick is normal. Don't let anyone work on it if it ain't broken. Just my thought.
