    Tips on bolting up a 727 to a 360

Just reading through this, I think you guys saved me a lot of time and headache. I'm going to borrow the hoist again and lift the engine back out enough to get the tranny hooked up and then slide it back into the tunnel. Having a buddy or two around to help (as well as plenty of beer) will...

    Tips on bolting up a 727 to a 360

Great tips guys, keep them coming. The parking brake cable is holding up the longer tailshaft on the 727 (used to have a 904), so it sounds like that may be one of the problems as it doesn't allow me to move the tailshaft down enough to raise the bellhousing. I think I need to disconnect...

    Tips on bolting up a 727 to a 360

Hey A Body Experts, I need a little help here on tips and tricks for aligning and bolting up a 727 to a 360 in an a body. For those of you who have done this before, I'm sure you know that there is very limited space for algining the transmission and getting the guide pins to slip in enough...

    Column Shift Linkage

Good Luck All, I'm in the same boat. I just dropped a 360/727 combo into my 72' Duster last weekend and the shift linkage had to go. Looks like I'll be visiting the Lokar Website in the not-too-distant future, unless I can track down the OEM 4 bbl kickdown linkage and a new throttle cable...

    A727 TorqueFlite Transmission ID

Thanks Fishy, I'm getting ready to drop the engine in this weekend and when I laid the headers into the engine bay last night, I realized i needed to disconnect the center link and tied rod end just to get the driver's side header in. It's a good thing I don't have the motor in yet as this...

    A727 TorqueFlite Transmission ID

Unfortunately I lost my digital camera, so I don't have any pictures to share. However, it does have the long tailshaft (not a bolt-on yolk). I actually dropped the transmission into my Duster, so I'm going by trial and error here. I'm not sure how it's going to perform, but I'll let you all...

    A727 TorqueFlite Transmission ID

Hey Transmission Gurus, I need a little help identifying a 727 TorqueFlite Transmission. I think the number stamped into the rail just above the pan on the driver’s side is, “PK40 9538 5884 8211”. The “P” could be a “B” and the 11th digit could be a "6” instead of an 8. I found this...

    A-Body Transmission Support

Hi Gents, If you are replacing a 904 with a 727, do you need to have a transmission support? I don't even know if I have one under my 904. If there is one for the 904, can you use the same support for the 727? Thanks,
