Ok thanks I’ll dig thru
I really haven’t looked into doing this but I’ve felt there was a simple solution
Anywho good luck with the hotrod and have fun
Gotta ask
I have a 6.4 truck engine that I have considered replacing the stock rods and pistons with goods parts that I haven’t chosen yet but I’m thinking high compression (13-1 ) a cam that will support the heads cubis inch and compression put a carb on it with e85
And hope for the best...
I mocked up a magnum block and heads with a LA intake to find the correct angle
Located
Used an 9/32 bit and tapped for a 5/16’s bolts
Any larger bolt would have caused problems
installed my Ati Balencer and found the factory bolt is to short has anyone ran into this It’s a scat crank
I’m certain the Balencer is on all the way
Thanks
Called the number on there website
Yesterday , finally got a human on the phone
And was told September this year and getting the heads shouldn’t be a issue
Also was told no magnum version was being considered
Just passing the info along
What part of the world are you located in
Ryan hogan is supposed to have a good handle on tuning these magnum engines while using the factory ecm
I’ve never used him personal but do plan to
Houston Texas area is where he is located but email tuning is available
A friend (Competitor) bought a turn key
427 smallblock making every bit of 700hp
Afr 220 heads, little m block
Needed a starter , carb and exhaust
8500 bucks to his door
Let that sink in
Ps the car went 6.30’s off the trailer
I'm kinda doing the same build and Cool concerned with the retainer to guide
Clearance
What's the height on the Guide with factory casting
I'm thinking mine have already been cut
Just wanna make sure
Thanks
I personally think it will be around 400-420 hp , but folks are making decent power this way and I had the parts so we will see
Really need to pickup a couple tenths over the old LA motor nothing will be change as far as the rest of the car goes
figured I'd throw mine out there
30 over 5.9 engine quest head with 2.02 valve
speed pro h116cp piston should be 10 to 1
bullet cam .561 valve lift
236@50
108 centerline
basic stuff up top
airgap 750 holley
1 1 5/8 header this is my left over stuff...
Just so I'm clear on what was done here
You made 625 hp on the rhs/indy iron heads without moving the pushrod ??
Has your costumer Ever mentioned what the car ran at the track
I understand that there are certainly better heads to choose and after the expensive solid roller cam valve train...
unless I'm mistaken you sold me those very heads for my 408
but sadly they are still in my closet
long story
but when they get used they should be in a well setup dart sport and I will tuning for max e.t
I do love running a mopar
It's all I have messed with
I used to carry shingles for a old man
When I was a kid he planted the seed
With his /6 work truck And it stuck
Wish we had more aftermarket parts
But it is what is
Good luck my friend
my 18 year old and myself will be running his first 7.0 index race this Saturday
He will have the driving duties
I never really thought I could enjoy racing more then I already did till he started showing interest
Folks are paying a lot of money for heads that Are capable of making that kinda power Most 408's aren't making that with a factory port design at least
I seen a lot of dyno numbers that say they do but not very many time-slips
To back it up
