    Ok repaired the wire, but no change. still no charge going to the battery. With a solid state regulator it wont charge the battery with a black box regulator it over charges. I can't wrap my head around why. any suggestions??

    I have been mulling over a Petronix. What would you consider on the whole setup? would you just sell the petronix set up? Did you have to run a Ballast between the cap and coil or no?
