What should the ohm reading be for the gas, oil, and temp gauges on a rallye dash. I have the dash itself out and I am testing the under dash harness alone.

Not sure about the unit yet i bought a 340 and the guyn said he also had this distributor. I probably will sell it if i get it i dont have a use for it

Does anyone know what a small block tach drive distributor would be worth.

I was wondreing if anyone knew what the gap is supposed to be in the electronic ignition pickup (not sure what it is actually called) in the distributor.

It seem like the old voltage limiter is getting hot. I watch it bend and smoke when i turn the key on. Do anybody have an idea what I should test next. This is really becoming frustrating.

I definately have smoke from a short or voltage going to the wrong place. Is the sender pingetting power from the gauge or from thewiring harness,and how many volts. The gauge is shot and i want to find out what burned it out. I spoke to the guy who rebuilt it and he said he bench tested it and...

Oil and temp are both around 20 and gas is still 32.5.

I did what you said redfish and im getting 0 then 32.5 ohms

does anybody have an idea whereto look for a short that would cause the gauge to smoke

I have 32.5 ohms at those two posts. What do you think that means.

Can anybody tell what the voltages are suppossed to be at the back of the gauge on each of the 3 studs.

Yes i dissabbled the stock limiter. And i dont see any fried wires inside the gauge. But what could cause the smoking. I cant find any shorts anywhere
