i always put a couple tack welds on mine when i replaced the ball joint its better to be safe then sorry ive heard of 2 many poppin out after being replaced.
Its better to be safe than sorry if you dont change them when you have it tore down youll be kiking yourself in the *** the first time you take it out for a ride after getting it back together just my opinion
We rebuilt the rest of the front end about 5 or 6 years ago but last year was when we finished with the resteration on it. he didnt change the gearbox but when he cranked it up the steering wheel shot to the left. so we disconected the power steering lines so he could hit a few car shows now...
The steering gearbox on my buddys 68charger went bad and have an extra one off a 71 duster that i can give him but i would like to know are they all the same between a,b,c,ebody steering gearboxes or are they all different. thanks in advance
