Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

It does sound like You just need an intake gasket set, & maybe valve cover gaskets as well if they are the same age. If the car idles & runs fine, doesn't smoke, no noises, & compression is good, there's no way I'd advise You to pull it just for a gasket leak. I'd start there, change 'em, if no...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at...

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

For sure it needs lowering. Remember the other point I tried getting across. The common wall slants in, the roof slants down, and the floor slopes up. Each of those areas plus the pushrod side wall has to be worked.

    Keeping her cool

Countless threads here over the years where someone's had cooling issues asking for help. Almost always has Electric fan(s), aluminum radiator, flat plate "shroud" and 160 thermostat, yet having overheat problems. Eventually after trying a bunch of things they will "try" what 6 or 7 people...

My guess would be about the same time they were limited to 5 lines of text. ...or maybe because a certain member had a 1024x768 pic in their sig and posted 15 times per thread minimum.

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

I don't think you realize how much you have helped. Just now you included the word 'lowered'. I'll be thinking about that for days now. I've tried to widen as much as possible, and lay back a little, but never lower. I've been a bit intimidated by the short side. I don't know why, I've got...

    When is it whining?

Have you asked WHY it’s not done? If they are waiting for parts it may be out of their hands. Or as someone said above maybe they don’t have a core. It’s still horrible out there getting anything.

    When is it whining?

You mentioned “doing business with them” but you are not. You gave them your money and got nothing but put off. (Multiple times) That’s not doing business, and I would have been out of there long ago.

    Axles-Gears-Powr-Lok setup

I just got the BBP drum brake assy from a fellow member on this site. Should be here Thursday. I just need to buy the drums. The Dr.Diff setup has been out of stock for a year or so. Cass did say he might have more later this year. Thanks for that info, i did forget to mention the rear brakes...

    Axles-Gears-Powr-Lok setup

Your list covers the "go", but you forgot about the "whoa". Your A body brake setup won't work with the large bolt pattern axles, even if you redrill the drums. Easiest would be large bolt drums (and backing plates/hardware), then you won't have to mess around with different masters and...

    looking for KKS radiator reviews

Just a heads up on that Cold Case radiator, if you get the same one I did, 756A, it is a 1/2" thicker, so 3 1/2" rather than 3", than their site lists due to the front of the brackets not being flush with the core. Also had to massage the brackets slightly to clear the bolts for the A/C...
