    I have both air and electric impacts. I use the electric more than the air. If I was looking for a new one I think that I would go with electric.

    24 x 32 is a good size garage. Just remember one thing- no matter how big they are they will never be big enough after a couple of year of adding junk. I have a 20 x 24 and wish it was at least twice as big as it actually is.

    I built one a few years back for a Duster I had. I used four bars for warehouse racks that I cut to size and welded.     if there is a paper plant here you talk to them about the rubber matts they put on the floor of trailers to stop the paper rolls from moving during shipping. They are usually free and work GREAT as draw liners!

    What are you planning for the fall / winter?

    That was last year for me. I insulated and finished my garage and installed heat. That was one of the best things I ever did! The garage is warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.

    I was wondering if anyone makes a platform that would hang from the tires? It would only need to wrap around the tire to give us tall people a step up to reach things down in the engine well. Perhaps I will need to get the tools out and make such a beast?

    So I guess it is time. I am a tall 5' 7" and have to use milk crates, ladders and anything else that will hold my bulky ( nice word for fat) frame up. It is a pain in the butt, but the way I see it is that when it rains or snows the tall people get it first!!

    When I travel to a car show I always have a buddy with me that works for a towing company, so all we need is a cell phone to call for a tow!! But I still carry a small tool kit and a ballast resistor at all times.

    Did you check the oil level in the compressor before you started it up? They sometimes do not have oil in them when they are shipped.
