    Champion 26" Radiator Review

I put a 26 in in my Dart last year and it is the best thing I have done! Before I changed the rad I had ALL kinds of problems with overheating, and one I put in the new rad it has been no problem at all.

    22" vs 26"

I agree that you can put a 26 in rad in a car that has a 22 inch opening, but I think to get the maximum cooling it would be better if the rad support was opened up. JMO

    22" vs 26"

Unless you open up your rad support I can't see the 26 inch rad helping you much. My rad support is opened up and the 26 in rad works really well. Hope this helps.

Does your car run hotter at higher speeds?

I had the same problem, but a new aluminum rad from Champion Rad fixed my problem. I would put a 180-185 thermostat in at the same time. Good luck!

    67-68 V8 Rad in Canada

Are you looking for an original rad? the reason I ask is that I have a 26 inch rad that was in my 68 Dart. It came from a Volare and has a shroud with it. Let me know. It will not need to be redone, but was replaced because it would not keep my 340 cool with A/C.

    Cooling question

I put a 26 inch 3 Champion rad in my Dart and it cools perfectly! I am not running a shroud and it runs at 185 in traffic and 175 when I am running along. I have a 185 thermostat in mine.

    overheating!!

I have a built 340 with a six cylinder rad and it is ok as long as I do not get caught in traffic. I would say that you might want to try a proper fan shroud! I also run water wetter in my rad. Not sure if it makes a difference but it can't hurt
  29. 1968dartman

    Fan shroud

Did you ever consider making your own out of aluminum? Good way to insure that it fits properly.
