new radiator

I just installed a champion radiator in my 74 duster and it bolts in fine, the question I have the bottom of the radiator rests on the bottom of the radiator support, should I put a piece of rubber in between the radiator and support or is it ok that it rests on support?

It could take years for this to create a leak... but like they say, Anything that can happen probably will. My 73 Valiant was wrecked in the front end just enough for the top take to rest against the upper cross member of the core support. When I took that radiator out later for repair I added rubber spacers at the mounting bolts.
You can find nice radiator mounting parts in the bone yard. You may need to change a small drilled round hole to a larger U shape to add these parts but well worth the effort in my opinion.
