Baby Got A New Pair Of Shoes

Upgraded to a Big Bolt Pattern set-up last Spring and just finally had a chance to snap a couple shots after the Baker's of Milford Sunday Car Cruise. Now she is a lean and mean street fighting machine. Paul

15" Rear tire sizes for Duster

15 x 8 Cragar SS wheels (4.25" backspacing) bought new with 275/60/15 tires and they fit with no problems. At some point over the winter the wheels will be up for sale since I am switching to the large bolt pattern.

    How much do wheels weigh?

Thanks for the compliment on my car. I like the Cragars and I am considering LBP Cragars but the chrome doesn't seem to hold up too good here in Michigan so I am leaning towards polished aluminum wheels. Keeping up with my research, the Torq thrust wheels seem to weigh about the same as...

    How much do wheels weigh?

You aren't off track...continue on...this is all good information. Like I said originally, I would be running 15 x 6 wheels up front with current tires (off hand I think they were 225/60/15)...Michigan roads really suck for tiny tires. Also with occasional other drivers, I feel the need to...

    How much do wheels weigh?

I like both of those wheels. Always thought Centerlines were cool. I especially like the Billet Specialities 5 Spoke, but they are a little out of my price range. I also thought the Draglites would be easier to find used...if I go that route. Paul

    How much do wheels weigh?

A Body Bomber, I am a street cruiser. I don't really have the pocketbook or time for much of any type of racing. In each of the 4 or so years I have owned my Duster I have yet to get a full season of cruising in, between my work schedule and all the unexpected work/$$$ that I have needed to...

    How much do wheels weigh?

Thanks Old Man Rick. I figured the Welds were the lightest...but I wondered how much lighter over my other choices? I am swapping out the SBP for a LBP, so I am looking at wheel choices. My budget is limited, with the conversion, so I need to stay around/under $200 a wheel, and I used to...

    How much do wheels weigh?

I am not sure what brand or size you have, but thought i read Draglites were around 12-14 pounds each? Paul

    How much do wheels weigh?

Is there any website (or anyone here) who knows where i can find out how much different wheels weigh? Just the rims and not the tires. Specifically looking for the weight of Mopar Rally wheels, Cragar SS, American Racing Torq Thrust II and Weld Racing Draglite wheels. I am looking for 15 x 6...

'72 Duster bolt pattern conversion possibilites???

Hi & Welcome. If you are sticking with 14" wheels why not use Rally Wheels? IMHO they are the best looking factory wheels ever...bar none. You can get Cragars with the small bolt pattern. I thought about switching to BBP but there aren't any wheels out there that really made me go ga-ga. If...

    Why small bolt pattern?

Five lugs to maybe to "one up" the Ford & Chevy compacts that came with only 4 lugs? Also perhaps for "aesthetic" reasons when using a 13" rim? Smaller wheel smaller bolt pattern, and smaller studs using smaller lug nuts? Those would be my theories...and I am sticking with them. Paul

    Year one 17 inch ralleys

Sorry my eyes are getting old.... Year One sells both versions... Looks like the ones on the blue Duster are found on the Wheel Vintiques page. It doesn't say who makes the Year One Rallye Wheels. Both look nice to me...but too big/not enough rubber showing for my taste. Paul

hate to ask 73 dart sport 15-16s?

Personally I would go with 16" Torq Thrust wheels myself... Not my car in the picture but I think they looks great. Paul

Dark or light spoke wheels (CHANGE OF HEART)

SBP Cragars from Newstalgia Wheels...their BBP Cragars have the same backspacing. 15x8 with 4.25" BS 275/60/15 tires 15x6 with 3.375" BS 215/65/15 tires Since this picture, the car has been lowered front and back a little bit, looks perfect to me. Paul

    Reproduction Rally Wheel Center Caps?????

Hello All, Wondering if anyone has bought any of the aftermarket/repro ralley wheel center caps? Specifically looking at the SBP "acorn style" caps. I wondered about looks? fit? and quality of them? Thank in advance, Paul

Adding A Brushed Finish On Trim Rings?

I am looking at buying some new trim rings for my Duster and they pretty much all of them come in a polished chrome finish... So I wondered if anyone had tried to use steel wool, or Scotch Brite pads, or sandpaper on chrome to dull the finish? Or the other option of a flat or satin clear...

    Tire size impact on gearing

I have 275/60/15s on the back of my Duster and I went with BFG tires. I would have prefered to go with the Firestone Indy 500s, but ran into the same problem with my local Firestone dealer. My stock tire set up (14" ralley wheels) are the Firestones, but I could only find 2 tires locally...
