4bbl better, can make a 2bbl work. I need the rods/linkage from the carb all the way down to the tranny. Just seeing what's out there, nothing expensive or rare. It's going on a '79 Magnum, so a Cordoba linkage will be just fine :)

I would say by "Strong" the op wants an "up to snuff" motor. I don't think he is looking for a factory 318 4bbl, but just a good, strong running 318 4bbl to replace his 273. Sounds reasonable.

I just pulled a Weiand Action Plus and 770 Holley (no choke) off my 318. Worked flawlessly. 350 plus shipping for the combo. I used the 2bbl linkage

No, it's not a joke.... and what your talking about is it's designed so the shaft doesn't get shoved through the steering wheel and into a persons chest spearing them, the shafts slide like a slip yoke. Extending it doesn't stop this function from happening, but if anything gives it more...

your power steering column shaft will extend down to the manual steering if you lock a grips to it and tap it down to desired length.

put a vice grip on the shaft and pound it down to length.

problem is always distance. I have a 273 engine that came out of a '65 Plymouth but I don't want to ship a motor. It's in Illinois.

Used is fine, but must be in great condition. For a '76 8.25 rear end. I already have a carrier , however, if somebody had a carrier with the ring/pinion, ok. Seeing what's out there, thanks.
