i want to put a rack and pinion in my k frame.been collecting pics heres a few.everyone wants to buy tubular k frames.but i want to be old school

I have there drag race one on my 71 dart,havent had one problem out of it,had it 4-5 years,but its a drag race only

other pics of a-bodys ive collected,i have a aje under mine and its been 5.82,with a junk motor,with no problems

I run a 15x12,with a 7 1/2 bs,and mini tubed with stock frame rails,and 13" good years,as you can see there right at the end of the 1/4 panel,one thing I like about the 70s and later darts the frame rails are stright

if i was going to run cal-tracs i would use there mono leaf too

i dont think i gain anything as i thought i would with a tubular frontend,as i think i went backwards,i had no problems with the stock stuff or header clearness problem,other than it looks cool,no gain

i just put coil overs on my front end and had way to much travel of 5",so i got a travel limiter from jegs and got it down to 2"

yea i went to the junkyard last weekend,found headers and dual exhaust for my 5.9l 96 p/u

i seen a lot of a-bodys like that,some so bad was nothing left,i had a 69 cuda conv,was bad,and i just welded and plated up,yours dont look too bad,you should be able just to weld a plate over that

mad dart,so your saying 3 inches when its rase off the ground is about right,which is what i have

so how much travel should fron coilovers have on a drag car,right now i have 3 inches

ok,i understand bumpsteer adjustment now,thats what i thought

how do i adjust the bumpsteer,is the bumpsteer when the front end comes up and the wheels stay straight

its a tubular frontend,,440,transbrake,qa1 coil overs,

going to take my car to the frontend alignment shop in a week or 2 after putting on new parts,what should be a good drag race frontend alignment and frontend travel

while we are on this subject,as i have to take my drag car dart to the alignment shop,after installing a tubular front end,whats a good drag strip alignment

sometimes you need to over engineer if its being driven on the street

i would get a hold of them,and see if they can walk you through it or a drawing,nothing like talking to the people that made it,instead of screwing it up

which rack and pinion are you looking for,front steer or rear steer,i think flaming river makes a rear steer not sure

i have 13-31 slicks on my rear dart and still have the stock frame rails

yea they dont answer emails so dont try to email them,if nobody answers email,must not be a good product
