Nice picture. Back in the 60's I was a crew member on an RC135 aircraft out of Eielsen AFB, near Fairbanks, Alaska. Our missions averaged 15 hours, wheels up to wheels down. The plane was so heavy with electronic equipment that we had to take off with very little fuel to safely get in the...

Good odd test equipment you never see anymore

I too would like to obtain a cylinder balance tester. I still don't trust insulated plug wire puller pliers. My slant has HEI conversion and my last HEI bite is still clear in my memory. Thanks, Jerry in Denver, Colorado

    Dog attacks

We too have had many many cats over the past 35 years. In our experience, if the cat is treated respectfully and with kindness there will be no aggression at all. We've never experienced any aggression at all. "Not once" as RRR said.I would not want to deal with a cat that I have seriously...

    Fuel Mileage booster’s

I have been feeling that the device may have given the ecm a rich condition in order to make it drive the fuel delivery lean. Silly idea since the ecm runs things about as well as possible. Emissions rules in the ecm programming doesn't give up much fuel efficiency.

    Fuel Mileage booster’s

I'm suspicious too. The fuel/spark control systems of today are pretty well programmed to get most of the energy from the fuel into motion. There is probably some loss from emissions calibration but 55% improvement seems impossible. Even 10% is, to me, very unlikely. Jerry

    Who drinks Malt Liquor?

I haven't had a Mickeys in years but I liked the light skunky taste. I can only drink gluten free (GF) beer for many years now and haven't found any skunky GF beer. Jerry

I learned cursive in the early 50's. In USAF in 1965 I was sent to Russian language training and after learning Russian cursive my English cursive was unreadable. Latin (English) alphabet is different from cyrillic (Russian) alphabet. I write by sounds as much as by correct spelling and I...

    50’s male looking for information

I'm 76 and retired since 2008. Yep, taking testosterone shots since for the past 15-20 years. My blood testosterone is checked every year or so and the shots are still recommended--guess my 'nads slowed down years ago. I had bad exhaustion everyday and my blood testosterone level showed...

    Happenstance Has Settled In....

Rob, I must say I like cat lovers, especially men. Seems like there are many men who hate cats and I s'pose it's because they can't control them. Ya don't need to control 'em. They are usually quite docile and friendly and a little patience lets them learn some of the rules. As you know, no...

    Are cats narcissists?

I commend you for sending your older worker cats to indoor homes. Our cats have always been indoor cats for their own well being. We live in metro Denver. We've seen numerous animals run down on our 25MPH street. Some of our cats come from the farm where my wife grew up, but we have adopted...

    Are cats narcissists?

We also have enjoyed the friendship of cats for many years. One, 20+ years. Our friends stay with us until the natural end. Usually 4 cats at a time, but we're getting older and have to drop the fleet numbers as they pass. People who hate cats, in my way of thinking, are very immature and...

    What's your favorite candy

Cinnimon gummy bears. In the early 50's I bought them 2 for a penny. Didn't always have a penny. Little local family run store with probobly less food than 7-11 these days.

That was a big fat fail

I hate people who steal or mess with things not belonging to them. I would avoid trying to cause physical harm to them. The law is not on your side in that case. We have Simplisafe and it's very easy to set up if you have wifi. No wiring at all. Just place sensors wherever you want them...

    What's your favorite beer.

All of this makes me thirsty. While in the military at Skytop, Syracuse, NY, I downed a lot of Utica Club. Love to have one again. Favorites? Heck, beer is all good 'cept for the bad ones-ha. I, too, discovered Mickey's and could down most or all of a six pack in 35 miles heading home from...

Help me ID this 55 chevy small block

If my Chevy days aren’t fading too much from memory, when the fuel line is inside the frame rail it was either a 6cyl or a V-8 with single exhaust and when factory equipped with dual exhaust then the fuel line ran outside the frame rail. I guess it was a heat issue on the fuel line. Jerry

    R.I.P. little buddy

Loss of a close person (a pet is a person to me) is the hardest thing for me. Loss of pets seems to be tougher than losing humans. I feel so responsible for their well-being and happiness that loss seems like a failure on my part. It isn’t really a failure but sure feels awful. Unlike...

I really love P-51 aircraft. These look to be quite modified, probably for the Reno air races? I was at the Reno races years ago and it was a blast. The sounds of a Merlin engine are unique. I remember being around many fighter planes when I was a little kid in late 40’s/early 50’s. My dad...

Scams when selling on Craigslist or ebay

I’m wondering something about responses to adverts on these sites and many others. The response is polite and wants first to know whether the item is still available. I respond, “Yes, still available”. The next contact says he likes the price and condition. Wants my name and address to...
