Use liquid butyl....the urethane stuff dries to hard, the butyl stays soft and allows the glass and body to somewhat move independently of each other and maintain the seal, the urethane will eventually leak. Unless your car never sees water than use whatever you want!

Decided to replace my original and cracked park lamp lenses....ordered from classic and listed 70/71 but painted to 1970 factory color ..... this isn't right, 70 had silver lines up and down, these are black....am I wrong or are these parts not right for '70?

I took all of the guts out of the new handle, put it on the door and it's still not right. I'll put it on up to the door today with no gaskets and see if I'm able to see what's preventing it from fitting right. If I can see something obvious I might just file off some material instead of...

I considered that but something's tweaked in my passenger handle, it won't push the rod all the way down to open the latch. Can't see anything physically wrong with it, new one works perfect

Oh yeah, it's only 2 nuts ! These are nice, I'd like to keep them but I don't like the gap. Both doors too. Put the factory ones back up to the door and they fit flush.

Alright, returning the handles I bought back to Dale's cuda shop due to fitment issues. Where have you guys bought outside handles from and had no issues with the fitment and function ? These work perfectly just don't fit flush with the door .....

Ordered a new set of outer door handles for my 70 dart. Notice the ball that connects to the latch release rod, the placement is different. I installed the passenger handle and it works just fine, just wondering if anyone else came across this...

I have. Knocked that little ball off the end, cut to my desired length. Grind the new end just enough so the little ball could be tapped on. Never had any issue with that one. Not sure on your antenna, but to answer the question ... yes

I like what you have, I wanted to do mine like that eventually. Had a buddy with a top banana 70 swinger 340 with the same color scheme as yours. Mine is sublime hood with black scoops.

I like the vinyl roof also. Fortunately my roof was in perfect condition when the car was tore down. New top was installed after the entire car was painted. And I believe the car was originally from PA ...

exactly ! Gaps shmaps ! If the door opens and closes good then stress over something more important !

It's not hard, just did my dart not too long ago. About to do my Coronet. Def much easier without a/c car. Just make sure you get some quality seals. I used Schumaker kit, worked good. I've heard about other people breaking the seals from other kits. Good luck!

nope, left the latch in the door ...

my dart did this when I first got it. there is a tab on the latch assy that moves when the key is turned to lock. mine was bent out of the way for some reason, bent it back and locks work perfectly.
