Anyone have a picture of the correct piece for a late 70s 318 w/ 4 barrel package?

Anyone have pictures of what a 318 4 barrel air cleaner looks like? I think mine is a 360 as it has a huge diameter, yet it does clear my hood on my early a body. Also, do any 318 air cleaners come with a recessed base? thanks

Can those with carb heat shields post some pics of what they look like? Anyone make their own? I am thinking of putting one on my 600cfm carb as I think a half inch can still clear the hood.

How hard to rebuild an edelbrock 1406 carb if I have the complete rebuild kit? Is this something I should just take to my mechanic or spend the time and do it myself? thanks all

Hey all, Have any of you swapped from the traditional paper filter to the newer cotton gauze type or "woven fabric" type? Curious as my paper one needs to be replaced and had luck with the K&N units on newer cars, yet never threw one on a car with a Carburetor thx

So I am looking to get a new air cleaner and base for my edelbrock 1406 4-barrel carb, yet the base I currently have, has a 6 inch opening (fits perfectly). Why do they say 5 1/8 base on all these websites, yet I actually measure 6 inches wide where the carb gasket to air cleaner base goes...

Hi all, I have a 1406 edelbrock 4 barrel carb, and there are 2 small ports on the front. Ive had the left one in use for years, but my 1978 engine with pcv and breather only- no emissions items installed, makes me believe I should switch the port and plug the opposite side. The non plugged one...

Hey all, Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel carb is leaking where the throttle swivel shaft enters the bottom of the carb, so essentialy every time I give it gas, it is seeping out from that shaft...noticed a few drops today on the manifold. Would a rebuild kit have the grommet/seal? Thanks all

Ive got an edelbrock 1406 4-barrel on my 318, and am thinking of installing a carb spacer or heat shield. Anyone done this with the same setup? I have minimal hood clearance so im kinda worried about that though
