Edelbrock 1406 leaking...rebuild time?

Hey all,

Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel carb is leaking where the throttle swivel shaft enters the bottom of the carb, so essentialy every time I give it gas, it is seeping out from that shaft...noticed a few drops today on the manifold.

Would a rebuild kit have the grommet/seal?

I'd say it needs to be bushed. The shaft's hole in the main body gets drilled larger and a metal tube gets pressed in and honed to size for the shaft to slide in at a super tight close clearance. A local machinest should be able to do this for a nominal fee.
