    Dash Pad Recover

my boss and I used to put the ABS caps on older porches. now we just send them to just dashes and let them redo it. even the better ABS ones warp in Florida sunlight after a year or so if not correctly installed and then even the ones correctly installed will warp within 3 years. It one of the...

Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

I work at a trim shop doing custom leather interiors for slab sided lincolns (nope not a sewer) it takes a special kind of seamstress /seamster to do a good job on the seats. #1- you have to be semi familiar with the seats setup. #2- sew a straight line for over 9 inches guide free and fast (90%...

Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

Hold back on your carpet and just order from ACC. they are pretty much the only player left that makes a "close to almost fitting carpet set. (specially for Loop style carpet. on earlier A's) same with the floor mats, if you want carpeted with logo's. it's where legendary gets the floor mats...

A Body glove box - newly made

I looked at it, Looks great. May take forever to print though. AND it looks to be mounted from the inside with those edge supports on there. instead of the 64-6 outside setup that I have seen on all my 64,5 and 6's. (haven't owned a 63 since forever so I can't remember if they went inside...

How do I reinstall the trunk latch cover on my '64 cuda?

it's from a barracuda collection I bought and want to make parts off of. but it should work okay on the darts also come to think about it. Thanks for the reply. So yours is the 66 red cover? hmmmm, now I have to find a 65 to check and see if it's 64-5 the same or 65-6 that are the same...

How do I reinstall the trunk latch cover on my '64 cuda?

Okay so your is a 64. hhhm is 65's like that or the flatter one like SYLENG1's is. I actually have that almost ready to remold and make some with that dip in it in the latch area BUT in your case to get it on I"d use a heat gun to warm it up a tiny bit (remember it's over 40 years old and...

How do I reinstall the trunk latch cover on my '64 cuda?

hmm I have the other style ready to mold now what year is yours? What year is that from? I have the other style (and thought it was 64 only ) now in mold form and wasn't aware there was another style like yours. It looks like they made a slight change and opening fix to make it simpler to...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

I'll prototype one up in machinist clay to test the feasibility, then post some pic's all black with just the design engraved, might just look even better than coloring it due to the sand in my drive way :D

    Dash Pad Recover

I redid mine but wanted a bit of poof so I used and extra 1/4" bit of foam for mine. the other car got no added poof and it skinned really nice,BUT I use my vacuum former to "preheat the vinyl to glue on that pad. poofier look worked for my grandkids head when they tipped into it.

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

7 percent draft, polished to minimize pull and stick (always pullin "with" the thinnest line or ridge has been my process). once it's finalized I'll mill and polish one up in aluminum as a main master right now I'm finishing up my non colored Aluminum Anodizing process for my sill plates

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

Not quite Chrysler logo style for sure. Even the Barracuda is hand drawn, same with the logo's they are all hand drawn and will not scale correctly to actually be a chrysler logo no matter what you try, I've already done the differential checks, over 40% different. Scaling, slant, thickness...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

if I can perfect the pouring techniques I will. But they are NOT going to be 19.99 floor mats for sure. since each one cost me 38.00 is just in materials and labor (myself = minimum wage slave....) . But the up side is I can custom make them once I get it right, instead of white, use another...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

Hmmmm so a floor mat without the backing might work for you one of the reasons I use a sharp tipped soldering iron for hole locations (self sealing that way)

didn't do it on purpose ,just letting him know 3d printing doesn't work that well with thin walled plastic and it's already in the prototype stage. I'm out of here, sorry to piss ya off.

A Body glove box - newly made

I do need 2 of theses myself for my 66's and have got the glovebox almost down pat and able to make them with no webbing. but getting that sharp crease on the outer edge in there isn't as easy as I though it would be and need a good "push block" for my machine, the Cutting out jig is my main...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

it's got the lincoln star in it . but I'm thinking about a heelpad for my dart (floating pedal so it' just a nice rectangle with the Dodge script in it) also a couple thing I need to process anything is #1 floor mounted gas pedal? or floater. #2 how wide and tall . The linbcoln ones get a...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

I'll probably be making the Barracuda one to match the sill plates I'm making to make it "more" consistent with each other. here is the last set (65 not the longer tailed 64) I did for a customer and am waiting for a quote to bulk anodize them in hardcoat.

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

thanks, Once it's proved out I'll mill it with aluminum for a forever master mold. I do Lincoln heelpads for a customer that way and it gave me the idea to do my own MY way since I don't like the carpeted embroidered ones that well . lots of polishing coming up on this new designs set maybe I...

Dart rubber floor mat test prototype.

Just working on some floor mats that I might like for my car, I'm not a fan of carpet floor mats so decided to experiment on rubber floormats dang that beast is heavy. now since the wife liked a different style than this saying it was too flat and boring, I'm going with a slightly different...

A Body glove box - newly made

these you mean? prototype all done except for the cutting out Jig stage. My 3d printed ones just didn't hold up to the road too well even when I had them done by Xometry. molded ABS works much better for me I've seen some 63's that was put in form the backside and outstide the metal lip...

Tear in my seat cover. What can I do?

got 4 (well 2 jukis, 1 consew and a modified sailrite long arm for the trunk liners I make) of those and they are about 150 used anymore and the table is another 50 or so but the long arm did cost me 500 to get the extension to make it a longarm , even a crappy singer home sewing machine can...
