    It's the vertical support bracket that attaches the upper cross bar, stone deflector and bottom airshield. The only number I see is stamped into this piece is SS03901.

    66340 is right, it's the back liner gasket. Guess I'll end up getting the dremel tool out at some point and try grinding the pegs away. You're right about the brittleness and I can see they won't clean up very easily without flaking apart.
