    What oil are you guys running in your /6?

    Brand name conventional 10W-30. Has anyone seen any credible evidence that the oils marketed for "high mileage" engines really offer any advantage? They typically sell for a bit more than the "regular" oil.

    Tick-Tick-Ticking Sound - Pinging?

    I've noticed the same sound in my slant 6. It's less pronounced when I put higher octane gas in it, but doesn't go away entirely. Since I don't know the last time the valves were checked/adjusted (I acquired the car just last year), I guess this is motivation for me to take care of this. Steve
