you could get the A body dual exhaust kit and have an exhaust shop make you the front pipes for the manifolds or just have a shop do all the exhaust; support local and have a nice system, just make sure its aluminized, it'll last longer

simple, buy the pipe and have them bend it I asked about dual exhaust front to rear on a dodge 1/2 ton if I supply pipe and mufflers, was still more then what I wanted to pay so I had the pipe bentfor $80 and put it on myself

I wouldn't recommend running without mufflers, since they are meant to restrict flow running without them will allow the engine to flow more; but also cause the exhaust valves to get much hotter then there normally suppose to run besides your local bylaw officers may like to target you

looks like there was too much fuel pumping out exhaust, and pipe looked pretty rotten, usually just opens the muffler up like a sardine can but if the pipe is rotten the pressure won't travel

not really, burned valves are comman without back pressure since then engine flows much greater volumes then it was made for; creating more heat dont believe me take your exhaust off and go for a 2 hour drive and see how the engine works afterwards!

hard on valves with no back pressure, same with straight through mufflers like glass packs (cherry bombs)

better flow, probably better power range as well

Ian, our inspection laws require that car exhaust systems exit outside of the body of the car, weather it be out the side or the rear, trucks are more lenient and only have to be 12" past truck cab and turn downward

far as I've heard its only the straight 6 engine that has them on the "wrong side":toothy10:

mini starters come on more then just mopars so you can go to a starter rebuilder shop and get cable relocator pieces that differ from stock mopar

next question is are you looking for an upgrade or you need to keep it numbers matching? magnum engine's have better flowing manifolds if thats what your looking for a 75 dart doesn't have nearly as much value as the earlier ones so stock shouldn't be an issue

did you supply the pipe and mufflers?

I think most converters make the air coming out of them stink worse then if it was an open with a muffler if a converter is working right it can have anywhere from a wierd smell to a rotten egg smell; pretty sure girls don't like the smell of exhaust that smells like someone just cut one!

have someone at the tailpipe cover the pipe with a rag, it will still allow air to flow out but it will put pressure on the leak making it easier to hear all this is to be done at idle

put a wanted ad up, personally wouldn't buy from year one and I wouldn't buy a repro unless you have to

those are manifolds, sounds if your used to chebbies where as if the bolts don't turn your in trouble luckly your working on a mopar, cut/twist or whatever you have to do to the old manifold to exhaust pipe bolts and remove the exhaust, when you put it back together use good bolts that way it...

the proper way to do it so you don't have trouble, no sense in craming it behind the header tube when there is that much space in front

simple, make a metal bracket that hold the wires away from the tube, and insted of going behind go infront of the tube and have the bracket hold the wires in a safe spot BTW your headers sure look like they suck... bet its fun changing plugs! more expensive headers don't have as many issues

it was an option to have power steering for the most part, I love it and wouldn't do without it; others feel the opposite

all those cheaper brands of headers are a PITA to install and almost always hit the ground when your going over bumps, buy the used set but don't pay alot for them and save for a good set when those ones are not longer good

BBQ paint or woodstove paint will work great

I was more shaking my head at the shop for using those terms, not judging any members seriously though I don't think I would go to that shop anymore
