Hotwire harness-how to get around the 12v at start

ignition switches have a gap, but the starter relay takes care of that, most of the 70's mopars (all of the late 70's) have a dedicated power when cranking that is separate then the starter solenoid power when cranking this wire is generally brown; much like the solenoid wire for starter, but...

Size/qty of bolts for bellhousing to motor

I'm talking about relative location to where they go into the transmission, not sure where everything is located on a hemi I'll put it this way, you'll need 2 7/16" bolts that go above the dowl pins on the older transmission or else it will not stay in the car without breaking

Size/qty of bolts for bellhousing to motor

there are 4- 3/8" bellhousing bolts, but you'll also need the 2 bolts that go from the engine block into the transmission; one goes above the starter and the other goes behind the oil filter I believe those are 7/16" bolts not sure the thread count

Is there a true plug-n-play setup for a 5.7 with FI yet?

    hemi wireharness cut/splice ?

I think he means lack of pedal feel, but if the OP was to get in a drive by wire vehicle without being told and drive down the road the gas pedal feels no different then any other vehicle

    hemi wireharness cut/splice ?

newer vehicles have not bad feedback, but its going to cost you if you want a cable driving your throttle

    hemi wireharness cut/splice ?

yes its s security feature, but it costs quite abit to have the computer flashed, seems to me there is other programming that needs to be dones as well but I'm by no means a hemi specialist

    hemi wireharness cut/splice ?

not likely because dodge vehicles have a transponder key; it will just start and run for 5 seconds and die

    RMS--Altercation--BUMMER

mustang parts may not be mopar but if you need the parts on a Thursday to go cruising Friday night I can almost guarantee the local parts store will have it, were as any other aftermarket stuff maybe harder to get quick such as wilwood

    RMS--Altercation--BUMMER

I don't know why there kits won't adapt to more stuff then specific brands, sure narrows down the amount of people who will buy it

    3g hemi gas mileage

exactly my point IMO 3:91 is too steep for the computer to handle it and give the best fuel economy possible. 3:23 or 3:55 would give great throttle response and good milage too
  15. 66plyValiant

    3g hemi gas mileage

if that doesn't work I would look at adding a converter and putting 3:55 gears in, since most newer chryslers run 3:55 from factory it may help fuel milage, I don't think I would go with much higher gears then that, idealy 1750-1800 RPM at 60 MPH would be great

    3g hemi gas mileage

I would put a cat on after the first O2 sensor but before the second one, without the cat the 2nd o2 sensor is sensing that the mixture is too rich because with no cat there theres no difference in oxygen between the two O2 sensors and its messing with things, pull your spark plugs and see what...

    Here we go

go EFI, don't like the thoughts of all the wires? the the spark controler (I believe its MSD?) for a carburated hemi swap, run a 727 or if you like OD get a A-518 and control it with a toggle swith or the pressure switch kit you can get (no trans computer needed) the get the 4 barrel intake then...

    2004 hemi Alternater wiring

as far as I know the regulator is in the computer, just buy a regulator for any pre 1986 dodge truck and wire it up like this, blue is switched power and goes to alternator and regulator, green just goes from alternator to regulator, and the large red just goes to battery

lol 10 cylinders didnt work as good as 8? do you have an interesting story on the car itself to share? like what brought you to the thoughts of downgrading the amount of cylinders , did you buy it to drive the way it was then considered the build?
