I don't see a problem other than making sure nothing near the outlets will get toasted, such as fuel system, brake tubes, starter wiring. etc etc If you are hinting about burned valves I would not worry.

Be careful with 5/8 plugs. Make sure you get the correct "reach" (the threaded part) and make sure that if you have gasketed (LA) heads that the 5/8 you buy are not for "tapered seat" (no gasket)

Uh, no............ The current that goes through you is what kills you but it is DRIVEN by voltage. And "most welders" are not necessarily 20V, either. My mig on higher settings is something above 40 or so, and many stick welders are up around 80V or so open circuit.

Many people forget that welders generate lethal voltages. Open circuit on a stick is enough to kill you in a wet/ very conductive situation.

I think the gaskets are key. They are touting the fit Ed heads, etc. Perhaps a more "generic" for lack of better set might fit "smaller." I had Hedmans on a ?70? 318 and don't even know what gaskets.......bolted 'em on forgot 'em If I had to guess I'd say these were they...

Bear in mind that you are eliminating the "u turn" over the axle, as long as the bends are done properly, no reason it should be that restrictive.

Do you have any "feel" for how close in sound level these are to the original actual Corvair turbo mufflers? (I used to run these on my old Landcruiser 360 then 340 and then 318 a few years) Those had a great sound and were not obnoxiously loud

I have never understood, why a "company" which built some incredibly beautiful manifolds for hemis and the B/RB stuff never built a decent performance exhaust for the small blocks!!!
