    Seeking 69 A body archivist

I'm doing some research on VIN and SPD assignments at the 69 Hamtramck plant. I am looking to collaborate with people that track/log/document 69 Barracudas and/or Hamtramck built Darts. Who are some of the 'go to' folks for info on the 69s?

    '383' ~ 1967 325 HP vs. 1968 330 HP vs. 1968 335 HP

The 383-335 horse applications vary by year. What happened in 68 may or may not apply in 69 and may or may not apply in 70. Any 69 B body (Charger, Satellite, Coronet) with a four speed and without A/C received the 335 horse assembly as there was no four speed 330 horse assembly in 69 as there...

    Formula s fender tag

"A fender tag in and of itself has no monetary value to anyone except the owner of the car." PO was a jerk. The tag goes with the car.

    Formula s fender tag

I wish people wouldn't pay that. In my mind, it monetizes an item that has no intrinsic or nominal value and places a perception of 'value' on an item like any other part of car. It makes sellers withhold info for money. If people complain how the introduction of money changes the hobby, this...

    Formula s fender tag

A fender tag in and of itself has no monetary value to anyone except the owner of the car. The value of the tag lies in the unique information to that car in context when aggregated with other makes, models as plant. Some people that collect tags may pay for shipping.

    '71 Scamp original engine question

Engine assembly 351 is '71 A body 318 Automatic transmission with A/C. As far as the F09 code, Windsor plant (R) had their own coding. I would not expect that F09 at the Windsor plant meant the same thing as other plants meaning I would not decode Windsor plant F09 as meaning special engine...

help decode my fender tag, 72 swinger

What was coded varied by plant. J25 will not be on the tag not because of internal/external issues. It's simply that the Windsor plant did not code J25 on the tag for model year 1972. The Hamtramck plant did code it; the Windsor plant didn't.

    GREAT info on our cars:

Dave, I'm responsible for most of the scans of the Data and Color and trim books on HH. Before starting the venture, I looked and checked as copyright violation was a concern of mine. There are no copyright notifications listed in the books. But thanks for your care and concern.
