It happened alright!!! This was taken last night 9/13/18 at the final local 300 foot drag race of the season. I couldn't be happier. I still have some work to do on putting the power to the ground.....but for a newbie, I was pleased with my first attempt.

I finally located the convertible top boot chrome pot metal moldings. Layson's has them. I talked to a guys at Layson's who was very helpful. However, he mentioned that he did not believe the GTS convertibles had a snap location on the rear corner trim pieces. In my photo, you can see...

That's a great idea. I sure don't want to pay that kind of money for a crappy looking set of junk. I'm told Layson's has a pretty good reputation, but I will verify they are returnable if I'm not happy with the quality.

I found out Layson's is making the correct parts for the convertible 69's. They won't be available until Mid February, but that's fine as I'm in Wisconsin. (salt sucks) $318 for all for pieces. Not cheap, but that's a titch less than the re-chroming quotes I've gotten so far.

Seller seemed honest and trustworthy. The car did come with head rests. When he redid the front seats, he didn't like the look so he removed them. I have the head rests....in the truck, as I just picked the car up yesterday.
