Okay 70aarcuda I'm going to tell you what my current motor combo is and I want your opinion on what would be the best bang for the buck to increase my horse power. I want to try and leave the bottom end alone if possible. A cam change would be okay though. 73 360 bored 30 over, the block has...
Any possibility of getting all the specs on the motor, trans and what gear you run in the Dart? I want to make changes to my motor to increase the horse power. Just trying to decide on what to do. Thanks Ken
I wish my 360 would run a 10.81. I'd be so happy. It take a long time to wipe the smile off my face. Your Daughters Dart looked pretty impressive to me when I saw it make the one pass I seen on Saturday.
It was very nice to have met you and got to see your cars as well. Got to see all three of your cars make one pass before leaving. In my opinion very good times considering the head wind you were dealing with.
In the 70 Dart do you run a Trans brake or foot brake? And what gear is in it? Reason I ask is cause I'm planning on a 408 for my 70 Dart. I will run a 727 with 3:55 gear cause I drive to the track. Thanks
Job well done as one might say. With all the work you have done to that car it really hauls butt. I only wish that someday my car will run as good as yours. Keep on enjoying it.
Just to make sure I understand correctly the shims you put in are where the front hangers mount to push the rear-end back a little? 904 or 727? If 727 what lenght is your drive shaft center to center as to where the u-joints go...
Like a few others have said go around the water box. The track crew should back you up so you can do a burn out to heat up the tires. try even lowering down the tire pressure some also if running the BFG T/A tires. Our local track almost did not let me run my Dart cause I was running radiator...
Hello fellow Illinoian,
Great looking car. Got the Mopar show and drag racing coming up this month on the 28th and 29th at Greats Lakes dragaway. Never been to it myself but am thinking about going this time. I'm located in Crete, IL.
Hey LX Guy,
Definitely some cool pictures. Glad to hear its running so good this year for you. Gotta just love that car. Put some white walled tires and the full size hub caps and what a sleeper that would be.
The Dart is looking good. You'll have to post some pics after its all done. Let us know what kind of times you get at the track also. I've seen LXguys Dart run and its pretty darn quick. Just to take a quick look at it you wouldn't think it was that fast.
Hey you going out to Rt 41 this Saturday for the Ultimate Shoot Out??????
I might drive my Dart out there. Thats a slim might and definetly no racing yet.
