The 7.25 has 2.5 inch tubes and the 8.75 has 3 inch tubes. The plates will not interchange but some have elongated the holes and used them successfully (myself included!)

I just did a quick search on Rock Auto and put in for a 71 dart with a 225 because my stock hose from the original 7.25 was the same when I put in the 8.75. Go to the brake section and then "hydraulic hose". I think they have the correct one listed there with a pic

Thanks Chuck. I have to say that with the trans dapt mounts and Schumcher headers the fit is really nice. As far as the weight goes, we'll see when I get it on the road but its got and aluminum intake, water pump, and headers so quite a bit lighter than a stock 383. Hopefully I'll find out...

Yup, power steering is staying The Schumacher headers are a really nice piece- no clearance issues around the box. My mounting brackets are coming from 440 source and should be here tomorrow so I can get that done. Thanks for the complements and I'll take some pics today if my daughter lets...

I just slid in my 383 a couple weeks ago and the single diaphragm booster is pretty close to my valve cover too but I think it will be OK. With the 440 I think you will have to run the dual diaphragm which is a little smaller in diameter.
