My dad's 71 Demon original 340 4 speed now with a 6 pack. He bought it brand new and still has it, used to race it in the 70s/80s and has a whole wall of trophies.

I had a Torker 340 intake on the 340 in my Duster, and after about a year switched to an RPM Air Gap. Definitely made a difference in the power department throughout the rpm range. So I'd throw that intake in the swap meet pile and find an Air Gap.

I've used the Meguirs PlastX on all the lenses on my Duster and they came out looking really good.

A few guys on here have used this one, including myself http://www.redlinegaugeworks.com/products.asp theres also a similar one that a guy sells on ebay with holes for the gauges already cut. Heres a pic of mine.

I have both a Barracuda and Duster in my garage and the body lines on the doors are quite different between the two cars. It would take some custom work to get it all to match up. Probably the closest you'd come is putting a late 60's Valiant front end on a Duster/Dart Sport.

It's different, but looks good. It would look even better with a cleaned up engine bay.

Clearance on the inside is about 3/4". If I would have had the Super Stock springs on the car when I put the rear wheels and tires on, I probably wouldn't have even had to grind the inner lip on the wheel well. They would barely rub if I hit a big bump in the road with the stock /6 rear...

I have 295-50r15s on 15x8 wheels with 3.75" backspace on my Duster. Super Stock springs in the stock location and a little clearancing on the inside lip on the wheel wells. Heres a pic of the rear.

I got one off ebay last month for $390. It only has a couple cracks, no missing fins, and someone had painted it flat black. Otherwise the grille is in great shape. Even a messed up Sharktooth grille is a good buy at $125.

Sounds like a Dartster. But I agree the early Duster front looks better than the Dart Sport front end.

If you want any kind of gas mileage don't buy a truck. Even the Dakotas don't get that good of mileage and they're quite a bit smaller than the Rams.
