Tell me about your ballast resistor failure.

Turns out the situation was strange. I changed the ballast resistor with the same results. I ohmed out my resistor and it was the same as the new one. I checked voltage at the resistor with the key on and had nothing. Checked my choke wire and alternator and had battery voltage. I went back to...

Tell me about your ballast resistor failure.

Reviving an old thread because once again this forum has saved my ***. I have been working on my old dodge for several months. Went to start it, engine cranks and dies when the key is released. If I crank it and barely release the key enough to release the starter it runs. Of course tons of crap...

    65 Valiant wagon taillight wiring

Ok, I've had a couple of holiday rum & cokes so I am thinking clearly now. I will run a new wire from the brake light switch to the brake light element in both inner tail lights bypassing the turn signal connector. I will leave the tail light wire to both inner lights alone (which is the second...

    65 Valiant wagon taillight wiring

I no longer have back up lights. All 4 tail lights work the same. running, brake and turn signals. I hate the red plastic lens...

    de-pin a headlight socket

I replaced the red and black wire from the bulkhead connector and ran them out to the left headlight plug. The wires were so brittle that they would snap if bent. But I've decided to replace the rest of the harness with this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H5JFHR0/?tag=fabo03-20 The...

    de-pin a headlight socket

Can anyone tell me how to de-pin the wires on a headlight socket for my 65 Valiant? I'm rebuilding my factory harness and replacing all the wires. Not sure how they come out.

    headlight relays

I just switched my 66 Cuda headlight wiring over to relays and what a difference it makes. I picked up 2 bosch relays,2 pigtails to plug them into and a fuse holder for about $35.00. It took about 2 hours to do. Before I changed the wiring, with my engine running my charging system was showing...
