The compressor on the scamp went the fan works fine but the compressor does not kick in i took off the little valve cover stem and pressed it there was pressure in it but slight, if the compressor is gone do i need to switch to the new refrigerant system or can i buy a new compressor and be good

I had a 360 509 cam worked heads i went with an aluminum radiator and electric fans ,i would overheat always , i put a new oem viscous fan and a stock fan shroud i could not get it over 185 same thing with my stroker viscous fan,stock shroud and aluminum radiator 185 all day long

i bought 1 from moparts i think it was $89 works and fits good i just posted pics today in a thread i started fits much better than that

the same thing happened on my 360 It had a new aluminum radiator, i did not have a fan shroud , i converted back to stock radiator with fan shroud , problem resolved it ran at 185-190 never overheated again.

You need a shroud i had the exact same probem on my 73 dart with a 360 i put a factory shroud on it- problem solved the hottest it ran was 190
