$5-7 K based on your description. It sounds like it will need a lot. What is this car worth fully restored (realistically) $30K? now go backwards and deduct everything you will have to do to it to get it to $30K.

It could have been done as they were a big parts & performance dealer. There needs to be paperwork to back it up though. It makes it unique but not in the realm of a true GSS value wise though, IMO.

Got my dash bezels stripped, sanded, and ready for painting.

I was hoping somebody on here bought it and was restoring it. Hope it, or one like it, pops up again when my wallet is full.

Does anybody know what happened to this car? Or have seen any others? FWIW, I remember a B1 Blue Sky Duster ragtop in Albuquerque back in 1998 or so. Saw it once and could never find it again. It was all original and nice but once perfect by any means.

DFX 340, thats a good idea. He's not a Mopar guy, but a true muscle car lover and has quite a collection. He won't let it go cheap thats fir sure, although he paid 6 figures for it when he bought it.

One reason for the 71 clone is to build one close to my old 71 Cuda I had in high school. I recently found my old Cuda but couldn't afford the $87,000 he wanted for it. It was a dual scoop car with magnums, other than that its as built.

I just picked up a 72 Cuda 340, auto car. Its completely dissembled and needs 1/4's, but is complete. The original motor and trans are long gone, but it does have a fender tag and build sheet. The car was originally Petty Blue (TB3)/ Black. I plan to repaint it the original color with the black...

That purple car is rotted and is better off as a donor car. If it was a 340 car then the decision would be harder, but put the time and effort into restoring the blue Dart.

Toying with the idea of putting a B Body Ralley dash gauge cluster in my Demon, has anybody ever done this before? Seems like I saw it done at some point.

Post the tag, they're easy to decode you can even type it out. Try http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=17 if you want to decoded it yourself. The lower R4 code is the body color, and the upper R4 is the roof color (as said above)

Dmoore owns the super nice survivor 72 TX9 Duster 340 and may have some more info about production #'s for them. They're pretty rare regardless.

It would take a lot of work to make that look and function right.

Unfortunately I don't have the hood to measure off of. I'd say the the black is slightly wider than the 35" and the stripe covers the edge on both sides. I'll look in the morning

Hope these help. They are from my original paint car. The edge from stripe to stripe is approximately 35" (tape measure reds 5"-40") as it may be hard to see. If you want to PM your email I can send full size pics too.
