    G-Tech Pro RR?

I used something called the Dyno-Rad, which is the same idea except it gets it's speed reading from the driveshaft. Because I used it on the same car time after time, I would say that it worked excellently. However, it has to be re-calibrated every time you change the rear gear or tire-size...

Man-O-man what a carrot! I sure would like to take advantage of your offer; I do everything except bodywork, but like Rusty, I'm a lil far away. Plus, not vaxed and never will be, so cannot enter the USA............. at least not from the North, lol. I hope you find what you need.

    Outdoor wood boiler

We know that of all the energy in gasoline, being burned in a gasoline engine; only about 1/3 gets to the crank. Another third goes to the cooling system, and the last third goes out the exhaust, so I would think that the best idea is to; Just pour the gas on the concrete floor and lite it up...

    need a new chainsaw

At one time,I worked for a dealer, with Husky/ Jonsereds as our main lines. Another time in a rental business, who had a lotta Stihl products. The Stihls amazed me as to how lightweight they were. In comparison, the Huskys were fat pigs. But I wonder if there was more than a pound between them...

wait what? a 5hp 3ph? Carrumba. Edit: I had a 5hp 3-phase 10" table saw for many years; it was unstallable. I worked that saw for hours and hours all week long, ramming 1"oak boards thru it. Built me some nice arms on the saw, yessir.

I did alignments for nearly 6 years on one of those, with dual traveling lift-jacks. I thought it was a great lift. no trouble at all. I used it for everything except pulling engines.

    I found the floor!

If you're not for God, then you're against him, but worse is if you're not in covenant relationship in this life. Because you or your loved ones can be attacked by evil forces, bringing sickness and disease. I say could, cuz a lot of the time satan doesn't care about atheists, cuz to him they...

    does locktite go bad?

Ok then; knock yourself out. They are no good to me whatsoever. A total drain in every way. That goes for men too. Like how big do you need to get before the light goes off in your head that this ain't living any more? For me it was 220. Now my weight ain't distributed in the usual way and...

    does locktite go bad?

I've never seen it go bad. I usually put studs in the manifold. I have seen imposter loc-tites not work properly, in holes not PERFECTLY clean. I use those load-spreading washers as found on slanty manifolds; they hold their torque really well.

    I found the floor!

Well thankfully, she wasn't the one I married! Yeah so, I've been thinking of going into my bright warm shop today and just thinking. I think I'll drag my easy-chair recliner into it and have a nap. Maybe I'll dream about my younger years when chitmattered. Maybe I'll turn the lights down low...

    I found the floor!

I've been working on the outside of house this past summer, and the yard, etc. To the point that the my small shop(450ish sqft) kinda got neglected. So this week, I've been cleaning it out in prep for winter projects. Well today I found the floor! And hiding under the debris I found a couple...

    spiral staircase for loft

So then the stair would be mostly self-supporting on the center-post with your channel just stabilizing the center post and supporting the upper most 6 or so treads. I think you have a good plan, in theory. However, the hidden studwork is a wild card. Typically, during construction, only enough...

    spiral staircase for loft

Got a pic of the top 6ft of that stair, to see how it will anchor? Does the loft have 2x8 joists? The stair looks almost self-supporting As to the redline, What's your plan to attach the metal to the wall?

    digital meter

I don't know if this will help but here goes; I saw this on a SBM with an Orange box and a reversed pick-up polarity; The Idle timing was Ok, but as soon as I revved it just a little, the strobe on my inductive dial-back timing light, went wild, and the tach read erroneously. I cut the wires and...

    Maxjax lift opinions

Those are all good points. My shop is also very small, and I like the idea that I can have several anchor points. I do motorsports work so If I had those, I'm sure they would be very handy. So I'm following this thread with much interest.

    Maxjax lift opinions

I was looking at them too. But I think I'd have to mount them on a plate, cuz I have in-floor heat, and I don't know where the piping exactly is, so not willing to take a chance with the long bolts. Up here they are around $2500, but I have seen them on sale for 2200. I think they would be high...

    Shop/Garage Heater suggestions please

Morden Manitoba has a place that collects kiln-dried oak offcuts from local cabinet shops, and flails then to bits. Then they run them thru an extrusion machine that compresses them into what they call fuel pucks. They come in either 2" or 3" diameter, your choice. The pucks run between 2 and 4...

    Shop/Garage Heater suggestions please

When I'm under the car, I work on a sheet of styrofoam,They come in R5 and R7 per inch. I find a product called SM-Blue at 1.5 inches very comfortable even at down to 55*F. They come in 4x8 sheets. They are fairly robust too in this HiDensity material. I drag a partial sheet around, almost...
