    Called Carmen at Steer and Gear, sent Him the pic I posted here, He say's that coupler is off of a truck, this coupler kit no workee on it! Next question, how in the hell am i gonna get this one off and the other one installed, not an abundance of room down there.

    OK, still wrestling with the shaft and coupler, in looking at the pic above, my coupler doesn't look like that, it is flat on both sides, I can get the shoes in but without the spring, here's a pic. Any thoughts? wrong kit?, doesn't require a spring?

    I have a diagram showing the spring coming in from the side to hold the shoes, does's the spring come in from the side or the bottom, seems like there would be no room if installed on the side.

    When you said that I got to thinking, there's no load on it, there's really no rotation to speak of, so I went out and cleaned and repacked it, it'll be fine.

    never messed with frame rails, it's a shame, it's a pretty clean car, like to find a frame shop and get it on a machine. don't think you can glip these unibodies, right?

    Friend of mine put my demon on the lift today, seems the pass side front frame rail is damaged and rusting. Anyone wanna venture opinions on My options? anyone been there, done that? He says a cap won't fit because of the damage. here's a pic of the car, hate to scrap it.
