The cable is shorter than the /6 cable. You will also need a dr side 64-66 exhaust manifold or TTI headers. You will also need the 64-66 motor mounts and motor mount brackets.

Here is one from a 65 Valiant, 4 door bench seat car. The same one was used in a 65 Dart, Valiant,, and Barracuda.

Factory 66 came with a Inland Shifter. Does your car have a console now?

Originally all 6 cyl cars were 9" and some early V-8 cars were also. Most V-8 cars are the 10" though.

In 67 and up, they made the engine compartments wider, so you don't have this problem.

They never made a correct pan for a 360 in a early A body(360 didn't come out until 1972) and you can't use a 273 pan, because of the main journal size. Therefore you have to take a later 360 car pan, and do the modifications that the factory did to the 273 pans to get everything to fit. It's...

When you turn all the way left or right, on an early A, these will hit the oil pan before you get the full turn out of the steering, thus you have a wider turning radius, but more importantly, when you go full lock, the steering may become wedged on the bottom of the oil pan and you can't turn...

You will also have to have a 64-66 A body V-8 only center link.

You will have to use a car 360 pan and pickup, but you will need to modify it so the center link and idler arm will clear, on the side, where the side rolls under to the bottom of the pan.

Did you replace the motor mounts? If they are old and crushed down, this may also cause this problem. These cars had mounts that were about 1 1/4 " or thicker in between the 2 metal plates that the studs stick out of.

FYI- I just bought a new tube and dipstick from Classic Industries if you can't find a good used one.
