    Steering coupler

don’t consider myself lazy but I did. Those tabs are a pain to get crimped on tight, and if it comes off while column is in the car it’s worse. Has held it tight for years.

New dash and Holley Sniper installed....wow!

May want to look at throttle extension rather than progressive linkage. I’ve had both (well, made the extension as I needed it to be a shaped a little different to fit my throttle cable better) and although I had to slightly modify my gas pedal to get full travel it retains the quickness better...

Young kids in classic cars...what do you do?

For my grandson, I called the local police dept and asked them. I was told to do whatever was safest for the child. As I have shoulder belts in the front but not the back, he rode in the front with his booster seat

    09 Caliber help

Daughter has. 09 Dodge Caliber, keeps throwing a P456 code, small evap leak. I have replaced the vapor canister purge valve and the vapor leak detection pump. Those were relatively cheap to do. From what I can see the hoses all look good, but the code came back. Is my next step the vapor...

Legal question about Antique vehicles and the seat belt laws

In WI, until the kid reaches 80# they need to be in a booster seat in the rear seat. I called the local police station. 1970’s car so no air bag to face slam them. I have installed shoulder harness in front seat with only a lap belt in back. They agreed the child would be safer in the front. I...

Dont know were im going in the hobbie anymore:

Man, your only 32. I didn’t get my Duster till my low 50’s. Park them, work on them when you have time. If you have kids let them help. Go to some car shows to keep your interest up. So it turns into a 15 year project, big whoop. You’ll love the end result.

Pulling Transmission and Engine 69 Barracuda

Top or bottom, both work. Bottom you have all the suspension out so it's easy to inspect and update Mark each wire, I put masking tape on them and wrote where they go. Ziplock bag every bolt and nut and write where they go. Get a thread restorer set (you'll use this forever)and clean every nut...

Other uses for you engine hoist

Pulled 6 really ugly bushes out of our front yard. Wrapped a 2 inch wide strap around the base twice, it tightened as it pulled. Was a hell of a lot easier than digging them

And they said it wasn't a practical winter car...

Grew up in Iowa, on the Mississippi bluffs. I would put my 70 Duster in first gear and at just above idle it would chug along and go up those snow covered hills like nothing. I though all cars would do that, was I in for a shock.

    Chassis dyno with od trans

I may but at $250 just to load it up and make the first run gets steep. Wasn't real happy with them, may do it in the future with a different shop. I still have the graph, I would assume they keep a data base also. May go down and seed if they can. Not really a big deal, but would like to...

    Chassis dyno with od trans

I have a 833 od 4 speed. Had it on a chassis dyno with the runs made in 4th gear. Will the Hp and torque results be different than if I had a standard 833? Is there a formula to correct for this? Thanks

Geez what is with the prejudice against bench seats

In 74 used to ride with my arm around my girlfriend. She drove a 4 spd Toyota. I'd push in the clutch and she'd upshift, downshift, I didn't even need to tell her what gear I wanted. Only time I took over was when some Chebby wanted to watch my tail light on the way to the next light. That...
