    Fender Pentastar

I bought this '72 Valiant from its original owner in 1998, and asked if the car had been wrecked (asked him after I had bought it, so there was no reason for him not to tell the truth.) He said "no." There was no pentastar on the front fender. I asked him about that, and he didn't have a...

    What hood scoop is this?

Is it a 6-pack Road Runner 440 scoop? Freddie (my racing partner) wants one for his '69 Dart, but doesn't know what to buy... Anyone??? Thanks for any information!!!

fiberglass hood source for '64 Valiant????

Thanks for the quick reply, but for $600.00+ I think I can get more e.t. improvement from a complete CalTrac/split uni-leaf fiberglass spring setup. I don't have an unlimited budget for this ol' tub, and I can add that hood down the road, after the chassis is operational. I'm sure it's a...

fiberglass hood source for '64 Valiant????

I need a lightweight fiberglass hood for a '64 Valiant, but can't seem to find one. Does anybody even make such an item? Thanks for any information; looking for a pin-on hood, and a fiberglass front bumper, too. Bill, in Conway, Arkansas....

No Pentastar emblem on my Valiant!!!

I got mine at a Pick-Ur-Part in Hayward, California about 8 years ago... Just lifted one off an old Dart... They're plentiful on old MoPars IF you can find any old MoPars in junkyards, nowdays. I don't know who sells them, but I'd bet that somebody is re-popping them now. Good luck!!!

No Pentastar emblem on my Valiant!!!

My car was a mid-year '72 build; they probably ran out of the emblems... typical MOPAR modus operandus... Thanks for the info!

No Pentastar emblem on my Valiant!!!

Thanks; that may be the case (a stick-on that fell off.) Perhaps, someone with knowledge about the '72 model year A Bodies will chime in and let us know if they had stick-on or "pinned" medallions. Anybody know???

No Pentastar emblem on my Valiant!!!

I have a 1972 Valiant that I bought from the son of the original owner. When I bought the car in 1998, he (the son) gave me all the paperwork generated by this car, for all the repair work ever done, since it was new. It has never been in even a tiny "fender bender," so I know none of...

CHASDUSTER asked, "what you got....super charger on that" Yeah, it's a Vortech V-1, S-trim blower making 10 pounds of boost through a 750 Holley double-pumper. Minimal engine mods; almost stock 360 Magnum short block (Hughes cam), almost stock heads (bowl ported, nothing else), the chassis...

"Sorry to say but What the hell happened to your wiring?" What "wiring"??????:happy10: Actually, it's part of the "stealth" packaging; if they ever see my motor, they'll KNOW it would never run, so naturally, they'll be eager to race... 8)

That's NOT a hood pin!!! The original owner had his battery stolen (no inside hood release), so he took a six-inch-long piece of 1/2"-diameter threaded rod, attached it to the radiator support, drilled a matching hole in the hood, and ran this threaded rod through the hole in the hood...

Is a 71 Scamp Grille same as a 72 Scamp Grille?

The Valiant and Scamp grilles should be the same. here's my '72.... no center medallion is the only change from '71 to '72, I think. Bill, in Conway, Arkansas
