I looked at some old pics of my Duster from the body shop and the cowl looks like it is part of the A-Pillars or does it actually come off?

do I need to remove fenders?

I was wondering if anyone has a clue as to why my 1970 Duster leaks water onto the floor boards? I am positive it is not the windshield we checked that and resealed multiple times! But I noticed when I wash the car and water goes down the cowl it just pours into the car from both sides!

can anyone tell me why my Duster leaks lots of water onto the floor boards thru the vents when I wash my car?

I got er installed. I laid the hole circle's out on door, drilled a smaller hole and hand filed the rest out by hand! I am going to make a aluminum spacer to go behind chrome nut and bracket to hold cables, got er taped to door right now, hope she holds!

my question's is, did any 1970 Duster's come with the 6 pac hood and if so did they have hinge's or not? also if they did not where did my hood come from, after-market or off a different model? what?

Ok thanks! looks like I am going to have to layout the hole for the cable, and get my drill and files out to make the hole for it, the threaded end has a flat on one side and slot on the other side!

now that's more like where I thought it should be mounted and not in the hole ahead of window crank in door panel in this picture!

#1 the holes in my doors are the same! they start at 15" back and 1" in from outside body line and looks to be in center of valley in top of door #2 not that I am aware of! I also saw a picture of a drivers side door that had cable mounted in door panel, I am not sure that is where it goes yet.

I just ordered a set of sport mirrors for my 1970 Duster from Classic Ind. and should have them in a few days! But I noticed that my drivers side door panel does not have the hole in it for the remote cable! So, does any one have a picture of the hole location in the door panel and some...

it is definitely not a door issue. I did not take glass out of car, came that way after I got it back from paint, pretty sure they took glass out to paint but they forgot to put glass back in! I would take it back to them but they are 250 miles away! I have a guy coming from the glass company...

the threaded part goes towards the outside of car! now I have to redo the other side, I install them wrong on that side as well.

well I need help with door glass up and down adjustment! I can not get my door glass to go up high enough, it is about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" down from seal. is there an adjustment for this and how is it done? I could not find anything in my service manual that explained this!

I have the manual already! but I did not see anything that told me which way they go on, just where they go or I just missed it some how! I will re-read it!

well it appears that I put the hardware on my glass wrong because the door glass fell to the bottom of the door, I am lucky it did not break, does anyone have a picture of how the four plastic pieces with threads snap onto door glass? I am assuming that since mine fell off, that the threaded...

I am glad I looked at this photo again, because those splash shields look to be inside the front wheel well behind headlights and while I am there I will look to see if the ones in back are there also. it probably does not matter if there in there or not, because I will not be driving this car...

sorry to hear that! I bought this car back in 2009 and was suppose to get er back in the spring of 2010 but the place that was painting it did not did not get er done until late spring 2017! you could say I was beyond pissed off. they kept saying next! next year! now I am just glad to have it...
