505 BB Mopar on the dyno today

Correct! We used Hughes 1.6 rockers so a little bit more lift but still very very tame.

505 BB Mopar on the dyno today

We did the machine work, assembly, and dyno session. Typical machine work, touched up the seats and guides on the heads, set I.H. where we wanted it. Other than that pretty simple!

505 BB Mopar on the dyno today

The rails/injectors are there to plug the holes while we dyno...customer finishes the EFI in the car.

505 BB Mopar on the dyno today

Customer supplied, I think it was 440.500.5080 and we milled the heads down to 80cc.

505 BB Mopar on the dyno today

I thought I'd post this pretty easy combo that put up good numbers today...440 source kit, eddy rpm heads and cam kit, 9.8:1, SV EFI intake, 750 carb and good machine work...not porting or modifying of the heads/intake....535HP and 570tq. Had 560's TQ at 3000rpm!

    400/450 stroker....Cheap parts, lotta work.

Murray was an awesome guy...very helpful! He did a carb for me back around 89' for my 69 440 Charger...I was 17. Then they moved and never heard from him again.

Was this Murry from Fuel Curve Engineering back in the day??

    400 stroker suggestions

What vehicle? I would go with a 4.15 stroke personally. Built many of them, 600HP is very easy however reliability comes from quality machining, quality parts, and quality assembly along with proper break in and tuneup! Check us out: immengines.com

Anyone have a proven aluminum headed, 500 hp, 440 six pack build?????????????

You can use the TF 240 heads, nice hyd. roller cam and 9.7:1 and be at 500+.

Indy EZ, talks the talk, walks the walk.

Cap walk is usually brought on from detonation or too much load on the engine. All girdles do is sit on top of the caps...they only locate the stud or bolt, absolutely they do nothing for the cap! Ask anyone who sells them to PROVE they work...can't be done. The registers in the block are...

440 stroker kits advice and more....

For budget deals, 440 source can't be beat for price AND quality...4.25 stroke and be done. Cam we use is around 244@ .050 and .630 lift...hyd. roller. TF heads and really that's about it. Should make excellent power and not be overly costly if you do the assembly yourself. Brian

Trick Flow 440 heads, The Real Deal?

We are a Dealer for Trick flow and will also have a nice build soon for Car Craft...it'll feature a small stroker (3.910 possibly) using a hyd. roller cam. This will be a fairly high rpm build and we expect very good power from it...even on pump gas. Brian

Engine builder's, cam bearing surface ???

We size the cam mains in the block if they are on the low side, to the high side, and use Durabond performance cam bearings in every build we do. Cam goes in with about .001 of clearance on every journal...works every time! Brian

Finally have the 540 running in the Demon

@ 14:1 you should pick up quite a bit of power going from C-16 to C-12...like about 15 or so. Q16 would pick up even more but you might have to change metering plates to flow the kind of volume it needs...almost like alky!

    PRW Rocker Arms

Ugh...I know...I need a CNC! Everyone close to me is so damn slow doing cnc stuff...and even slower doing bushings by hand!!

    PRW Rocker Arms

Not always possible...what do you do when you need a hyd. roller setup to RPM well above 6000rpm and need over .600 lift to make the power you need? Yes 10-15HP difference between 1.5 and 1.6 ratios from our experience...you can only run so much lobe lift before you have oiling issues.

    PRW Rocker Arms

My only complaint about the comp rocker is they only have a 1.5 ratio...it just sucks to spend the kind of money these rockers cost only to have 1.5 ratio....this is 2015! Can't we get more choices than this?? This is why we are working on some kind of head/rocker combo using Indy's TA...

    PRW Rocker Arms

I was told they sent him more rockers and he said they were also bad and that was the last communication...I don't know what actually happened, and I prefer to stay out of that! I use and sell these rockers and have not seen these problems, so I'm just giving my experience here using them...I...

    PRW Rocker Arms

Shaun at PRW tells me they had a run of rockers that were not true from the roller tip to the bushing they ride on such as MRL showed in the above pic...they say they took care of it and I have not seen this with the SB rockers we use. I'm having them build us a kit for the Indy TA small block...

As a TF dealer I've known about this for quite some time...this is the real deal! A true bolt on head OOTB. They flow as advertised! We will have some castings soon and have some dyno info as well...I'll keep everyone up on this. Price should be awesome as well...plus they have upgraded...
