I know that there is a 2176 that says good for 5500 RPM and a 7176 that's good for 6500 RPM. ? Let me know what you find out because my buddy wants one and there is 2 for sale on our site.He has told me the 7176 is the good one? Craig.
Just FYI The performer intake is good if you get the right one. Part#2176 is more for a 318,where #7176 is the good one more for a 340 good for up to 6500 rpm. Just my 2 cents..
Well that's even better! You just made my day!! Thanks!! So again filling the 2 small holes at the front of the carb as in the picture from my other post will do the trick? Hey, I feel like I owe you for all this info! Why do you have to live so far! I would just get you to do it!! LOL..
So what your saying is the 71 340 TQ is the best overall Carb? If so,that is good news because I bought a complete pan to carb never touched 340 that came out of a 1971 340 Demon. It has been sitting in a friend of a friends shed for 25 years. Also it had the factory air cleaner and pie pan still...
O.K. Thanks for all your help guy's!! I will wait until spring to do this..I think my buddy was hoping it was worth about $200.00 he said he paid around three to have it rebuilt!! Oh well! lol..
Not to worry,There is no sea here or Mountains within hundreds of miles!! lol..Any more help with this would be great. Should I slap it on? I have heard they work extremely well,Performance,etc..Even better on fuel because of the small primaries..
One more question guy's..What do you think it is worth? It was rebuilt about 2 years ago,and only used for 1 week after that, then boxed.. Thanks, Craig.
Thanks so much for the response! I'm considering getting this off a buddy of mine. I'm not experienced in carbs,so covering the holes with epoxy will change it from a smogger? Thanks, Craig.
