    PEDAL TO Z BAR ROD

When I got my dart it's rod had so much play that my clutch pedal would not return all the way. I welded it to fill in the wear spot. Now my pedal returns to where it should and shifts great. So I would say yes they do get loose with excess wear.

    Aluminum case 833 identification

I thought the 3 and 4 lever had to be pointing to the top of the transmission on OD transmissions and the 3 and 4 lever pointed down on a normal 4 speed.

    Aluminum case 833 identification

I did not realize they put them in chevy pickups or dodge pickups in the 80s. I would think the shifter is too short for a pickup. I will have to measure and look at the splines on the input.

4 speed conversion. Help or hurt value of car?

Thanks for all the opinions. They are all greatly appreciated. I do already have the parts to do the conversion. 4 speed conversion. Help or hurt value of car?

Was thinking of doing a 4 speed conversion on my 1970 dart swinger with numbers matching 340 but not matching transnmission. Would a 4 speed conversion from auto on the column hurt or help the resale? Thanks for any input.

I am new to the mopar a bodies and was looking at a 64 valiant to buy, I was wondering what was the original model of 4 speed that went into 64 valiants and how hard would it be to find the parts to do a conversion from auto to 4 speed? Do newer 4 speeds and bellhousing work?
