There has been some success installing a Toyota Supra Turbo 5 spd. Do an internet search or check over on Moparts.

I think keeping and upgrading your 8 1/4 is your best bet. I would still talk to Dr. Diff about Sure grip carriers and gears.

Unbolt the everything! There is value in the shock plates and front and rear hangers/shackles. The parking brake cables have value too.
