OE Plug Wire Separator 67 Dart 273

I appreciate the mention but that's actually @krazykuda's photo of my work that he sent back to me when he got them. I've done up dozens of Commandos but only a couple pairs for a Dalmatian owner ... he gave them The Spot Check.

If you have a Chiltons manual, look inside the back cover. There's an illustrated and more complete plug diagnosis chart in there.

    Help! Slow Battery Discharge

I have a silly question. What kind of battery do you have? I scanned the thread but didn't see if you posted that or not. Is it an Optima? If it is, I've got ten bucks that says you don't use the car as a daily driver. I have the same issue and own three red tops. The only one that won't...

Hate to start another thread ... but.. help !

Might sound like a silly question, but how is your coil mounted -- vertically, or horizontally on the intake? We had a problem with the '83 D150 440 shop truck doing the same thing after installing an MSD setup. After a few calls to the tech department, one finally suggested moving the coil to...

I had a blue bulb under there too but mine was thick plastic and broke in half. Still have the pieces in my leftovers.

    whats wrong with my headlight

You might also want to take a look and see if one of your ground straps broke loose. It can cause one side to be dim or off.
  18. CudaChick1968

    What's better?!?

I prefer the reliability of an aftermarket setup (MSD here) ... most people I know with the factory orange box always carry a spare in trunk. :-D

Lost & Confused !! Whats wrong now ?

Sounds like you've made some mechanic very happy ... and fattened up his wallet quite a bit in the meantime. If it was my Jeep, I'd invest in a Chilton's manual and some tools and read every Jeep forum I could find. It's time to go to school girl!!! Good luck!

    battery time

Joe, I thought my explanation of the problem was pretty clear and, judging by some of the later responses, I'm not the only person having it. My red top's probably almost five years old but it's always been unreliable. I'm not aware of any draws on my system but since it's pretty much been a...

    battery time

There are special instructions to recharge them too (copied from Optima's FAQ without any permission or anything so don't turn me in ... this is merely a public service announcement :-D): How do I charge a deeply discharged battery? If an OPTIMA is deeply discharged (below 10.5 volts)...
  27. CudaChick1968

    battery time

Optima batteries are great but they have to stay on a trickle charger unless you're driving the car every day. Optimas on my Cuda, the '83 D150 440 shop truck and the '64 Ford tractor, and the daily-driven shop truck's Optima is the only one that doesn't need charged any time you want to fire...

    retarded question

Shae, Jeff Ramin is a member of the Barracuda Owners Group and a VERY NICE GUY. Just drop him a note on his site and I'm sure he'll respond / fix up the problem. Was Billy any help on the phone yesterday? Sorry to turn you over to him, but electrical scares the bejesus out of me and I figured...

    Distributor hold down, battery tray

I'd be willing to bet that distributor hold down was chromed at some point in its lifetime. What PSI did you blast that stuff at? Shoot it at about 90 / 100 and it WILL come off ... so will the nickel underneath it.
