    Sealed Beam Headlights

GE Nighthawks H6024 are the ones that were recommended and that I used in the past with pretty good results. - Silverstars are junk - Wagners are "ok" I'm now using LED conversion kits with decent results. There are these new "Nighthawk Sport" from GE that look promising as well, but I...

Using Aftermarket Fuel Gauge with Original Sender

There some that are even programmable or are adjustable with dip switches that you can set the ohms ranges of common car manufacturers .

BTW @CLAY72dart, welcome to FABO! Welcome to our little slice of madness!

    bulkhead Ammeter connectors

I did this mod: Catalog I only did this because all my gauges are aftermarket and I used the voltmeter in the gauge kit instead. I did have an ammeter issue in my old 1984 Dodge Ramcharger. The wire did get hot and melted the insulation and part of the gauge but that was mainly due to the...

Alternator Amperage? - Part Numbers: 2095191 (front), 3874271 (rear)

Sounds about right. I took one out of a 1984 Dodge ram that had a 65 amp rating. It was a Napa refurbished one. However I would not go past 60-65 without upgrading the wiring.

    LED bulbs

Yep just put in and go! The only thing I had to replace was the turn signal relay to a more LED friendly one. Once I switched everything to LEDs. Make sure you get the brightest ones!

    E-3 plugs worth the money?

A lot of European and of course Japanese car companies use NGK's now. Mercedes, Fiat and Alfa Romeo's etc. Apparently some newer Chryslers (due to Fiat) are putting them in now. ---http://www.iaaf.co.uk/news-item/fiat-chrysler-automobiles-honours-ngk-with-the-group-s-collaboration-award-2015...

    E-3 plugs worth the money?

I have used NGK XR5's for over a year now with no issues. Daily driven, with 1300 mile road trip in July. Over 12,000 miles since installed. And I even did a few hard launches to over 120 mph. I have a Mallory 6A ignition system. Still runs like a top and I still get over 16-17 mpg freeway. The...

    E-3 plugs worth the money?

I agree and very true. I remember awhile back on TV, watching those "Splitfire" plug commercials, a big gimmick. I still see the occasional 75%+ clearance specials here and there. Even if they were $0.10 a piece I still won't buy them. I still feel kind of the same about E3's. It's Champions...

    E-3 plugs worth the money?

Sorry, not to stir the pot but I'm majoring in science and I'll have to add this: In truth Copper is the second most conductive metal in the world. Silver is the best. HOWEVER Silver is more expensive, fragile, prone to tarnishing and therefore not very feasible to use. Ask me how I know... I...

    LED bulbs

X2 on www.superbrightleds.com BIG no no for the cheap Chinese LED's. I had 194 wedge LED's from a Chinese Ebay seller. 8 months later half of them burned out, 4 months later they all burned out. Not good since these were for my Chevy K2500 dash lights. The rest decided to burn out at 0430 in...

    Modern Headlights

Interesting, I have one headlight that is a Nighthawk. Which is pretty awsome. However the other one is a Wagner. It seems to work fine with decent light output. I know the local NAPA sells them here. I think the Nighthawks are still a little better, but they're at least better than the garbage...

Lights how much is too much

Too many idiots don't see a noisy giant box, its bad enough with cars or even motorcycles. That's why I don't ride my motorcycle anymore. Too many damn morons on the road, both 4 and 2 wheeled. I can be dressed from head to toe in fluorescent, reflective gear and they still don't see me...

Has anyone adapted LEDs for dash bulbs?

Yeah don't buy the $1-2 cheapies from China on Ebay. Go to www.SuperBrightLED.com yes, they're pricier but well worth it.

    1973 Plymouth Scamp radio

They look like this: They do sell these on Ebay from time to time. How about this 8 track in a 75 Dart someone found? Just throwing out some ideas.

Ebay might be a good source. I've even seen 8-track players for sale there.

    Instrument gremlins.

Hmmm, Its gotta be shorting out somewhere. I gotta admit though electrical gremlin are a beast that is not fun to tackle. Just think they get bigger and badder as the cars get newer. You stated earlier that when you turned on the driver side blinkers it blinked really fast. That is an indicator...

    Instrument gremlins.

Look out for corroded contacts. And as for the heater question, there are variables. The heater may stop working due to these possible reasons: Bad fan motor Bad fan speed switch Bad resistors You can check the blower motor by momentarily linking a hot 12 volt line to see if the motor...

    Need some L.E.D bulb schooling

For your Dash and interior lights I would check these guys out: https://www.superbrightleds.com/ Again as stated: DO NOT buy cheap ebay junk. I made that mistake once, I bought cheap 168 wedge LED's on ebay they were dim and they sucked. I then bought some from superbrightleds, big difference...

    What is this?

LOL! I was wondering what that was! I'm sitting there looking at the 74 wiring diagrams. (which kindly did not show on the schematic) So after scratching my head over it for awhile, I decided to ignore it while I wire everything up. Now I know I need to get rid of it.

    Ballast resistor question

Heat is a normal function of a resistor. But not too hot, if its smoking that's bad, if its just hot then it should be working fine. Yes I had a resistor go poof on one of my old Dodge rams.
